Ah, the controversy of having a best friend of the opposite gender. I honestly think there is nothing wrong with that, especially if you get along great and theres no drama, which is always a plus. Here are reasons why having a guy best friend as a girl is awesome.
1. He will tell you what he really thinks about that dress.
You might here one of your girl friends say "Oh, that's.....cute". A guy best friend will be the first to tell you if the dress does not fit you right, or if you look like you could conquer the world in it.
2. You do not have to force anything, unlike how you would with a boyfriend.
When you are in a relationship with a boy, you would have to force them to try to do the things you life. While with a guy best friend is your friend because you have a lot in common.
3. He listens.
Most of the time they will listen to all of your bogus stories about guy drama or what the girl, that you hate, did at work yesterday.
4. They will play matchmaker
They can see through all of a fake layers a typical guy can have. They also know exactly what you are looking for and will put a good word in when talking to the guy about you.
5. They can be your bodyguard.
Nine times out a ten, if you are a girl, you feel safer out in public with a guy you know in your presence, so this can be very helpful in making you feel safe and comfortable.
6. They can offer you solutions that can potentially help you.
Along with telling you that you are being over dramatic, they can also look at your issue from their prospective and tell you what they think would work best for you in the situation.
7. They can crack you up no matter the circumstance.
They may know you better than you actually know yourself, and with being your friend, they know what will make you laugh enough to cheer yourself up.
8. You have a friend date to everything.
Say your date to that wedding dumps you at the last minute and you need someone to go with you, he will automatically step up to the plate and go with you if you need it.
9. You can be disgusting with them.
I mean with appearance! You can eat what ever you want with them without the worry of being judged.
10. He can explain to you why guys do not think ever.
This is an awesome thing to have at your finger tips.
