13 Quotes I Live By To Stay Focused In Different Situations

I love quotes. They're like little nuggets of wisdom that give you the answer for any doubts, fears, or questions you might be having at a given time. Sometimes, I may even come across a quote that I've known for years but today it means something different. Or today, I know it to be true rather than just believe it to be true. That's why I thought I'd share some of the quotes that keep me focused and motivated. These are the words that I turn to when I need that pick-me-up or even just a refresher on how to look at life.

Whenever a new semester is about to start:

"It's easier to keep up than to catch up." - Gretchen Rubin

When I think I don't have time for things other than schoolwork:

"The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." Stephen Covey

When I'm unsure about what to do next:

"As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears." - Rumi

When the critical voice in my head gets overpowering:

"Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself." - The Desiderata

When I feel like I'm not doing enough to help others:

"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world." - Desmond Tutu

When I think too much about how I look:

When I think others are doing so much more than I ever will:

"Success isn't about how your life looks to others. It's about how it feels to you." - Michelle Obama

When everything feels like too much:

"Within you is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself." - Hermann Hesse

When morale is low:

"Make your faith larger than your fears and your dreams larger than your doubts." Robin Sharma

When I didn't finish the things on my to-do list:

"People overestimate what they can do in a single day. And underestimate what they can do in their whole lives." - Unknown

When I need to think positively:

"The more one meditates upon good thoughts, the better will be one's world and the world at large." - Confucius

When I feel badly for wanting to just sit and do nothing:

"Don't underestimate the value of doing nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering." - Winnie the Pooh

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
