PTSD is by far one of the hardest things to live with, especially when the reason you live with it was because of someone else. The reason that you have the mental issues, emotional issues and the self-confidence issues is because someone has taken something from you and hurt you to the point that you’ve wanted to give up. You live with this burden on your head, the feeling that after every moment there could be someone there watching you and waiting for you to slip so he can enter and hurt you again.
I was hurt by someone once and he had the ability to take something from me and then leave me to think that this happened because it was my fault.
The reason that I am in this situation, the reason that every day is a struggle and the reason that I can’t even get up in the morning is because someone took something from me.
Living with this is the reason that someone end up taking their own lives. Living with PTSD is the reason that someone people end up hurting themselves and other people around them. Living with PTSD means that every day is the struggle for your existence. Every day that you wake up and try to resume that life that you once called yours, you struggle to accept the fact that the reason you are unable to function is because of the one thing that belonged to was taken away.
We all live in this world were thing happen and there are bad things but also good things. However, the things that end up impacting us the most the bad things. The things that we hold to the most are the worst that impact our lives. WE in that moment remember the emotion the pain and everything that happened before and after the event occurred.
These are the moments that make PTSD hard for someone. People who suffer from this are left thinking that the things that hurt them the most are the things that happened for a reason but those are the things that will haunt them forever. Those are the reasons that will never be able to turn around without being afraid. The reasons that they will think about everything that it has impacted.
We grow up in this society that tells us that it takes a lot to be normal. WE grow up in the society that tells us that of you are on medication to maintain your happiness we need medication. I think that this is normal people who have suffered and continue to suffer from PTSD are normal and they need help.
Every day is the building of a new mirror. We are putting the pieces together into order to rebuild the life we called ours. We ae building a future that involves us and the burden we carry but we are building the life that will forever be broken. A life that once was ours but not belongs to us and our past.
