I want discuss the importance of finding what fills your heart and lets you feel loved without using others. I believe it is important to find whatever this is, whether it be a sport, a hobby, or whatever else you do that fills you up. For me this is something that seems to be an unpopular view in today's society. What fills me is my faith.
Today it can be hard to show interest anything “political” because of the risk of offending others or creating tension within relationships. Different views are not accepted like they used to because of the extremists that take it all too far. But for me this is something I will continue to share with anyone willing to listen.
I do not want to convert people, or pressure them into loving God as I do. But I do want to inform and discuss views with others that share the same thoughts and those that oppose my own. I love my religion and it is something I live everyday, so exercising this is just as important as any other passion regardless of the heat that is inevitable with some.
Finding what truly fills your heart with love and joy is something I hope everyone finds at some point in their lives. I hope this is something you do for yourself and you can do by yourself. Sharing passions with others is always something exciting but in my own ideals I believe something can only truly fill you if it is only for you. I do love sharing my faith with others and my group of friends that share this same passion. But at the end of the day, I am dedicating myself to God for me and that is the best part.
A journey to find your passion is a long a difficult path. This is something that is selfish in a world where you are taught negative connotations with doing anything for only you. Feeling filled with love can come and go. When times get at little more tough or life gets busy, making time for your passion can become difficult. It can even be easy to lose your passion and tough to get back into it. Having something you love and can live for everyday is a big responsibility to yourself. Staying on track with this brings so much good into your life but can being tiring at times. I believe that you should always want to exercise whatever fills you and if one day that changes that's okay.
We are always growing, we were not meant to be the same out whole lives on Earth. So having your passion change along with who you are, your values, and your philosophies is normal. But keeping up with your passion and making sure to not get stuck in a routine with it is important. Keeping the spark for the fire you hold towards what fills you is difficult when you beat yourself up for not “sticking to the plan”. You spend so much time each day pouring yourself into work, others, and anything else you have to do. So this should be a time to refuel yourself in whatever way you choose.
You can also have multiple passions. What fills me is my faith, but I also do not know what I would do without expressing my thoughts with a pen and paper. Being someone that is not good with words I usually combine these two passions to create a moment of peace for myself everyday. Having multiple passions can help avoid getting into a rut and can help guide you further into whatever you love.
Finding whatever make you feel at peace, makes you feel happy, makes you feel loved, that is what fills you. When your eyes light up, you cannot help but smile, there are butterflies in your chest, and you could talk about this forever, that is what fills you. Do not ever let go of the passion for whatever it is you love. Finding a passion is hard, but once you do it can create a safe space for yourself when you feel most alone because no matter what you can fill yourself. Probably the best part about finding your passion is whatever fills you can help you and lead you to fill others.
