Passion + Action = Success

I have attended many success seminars and the one point that every speaker makes is that passion + action = success. This equation is the #1 reason people either succeed or fail. How many times have you been very passionate about something but didn't take action because you allowed your negative self talk to defeat you only to be left answering the question of what might have been or what could have been. Too many times people defeat themselves because they allow their negative self talk, doubters, and haters to rent space in their head. It is now time to evict all those who are not serving your higher good. It is time to take action and move forward toward a positive direction of your dreams. It is time to take action on your ideas and see what happens.

Today (3/23/2017) was a great example of me taking action for a cause that I am very passionate about, The American Cancer Society Relay For Life as it is Walk Out On Cancer Day. I decided that at 12 PM (noon) I would walk from the Starbucks on University Drive North Of Oakland Park Boulevard to The Hooters and back stopping into local businesses asking for donations. When I arrived at HOOTERS I asked the GM if I could walk through and ask for donations. he said yes and I walked through and many of the patrons were open to give. In taking action I was able to raise my fundraising thermometer and help in the effort to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

One of my other passions is teaching people how to take action by following their passion. As a result I developed a seminar titled, All You Have To Do Is Ask. The goal of the seminar is to give attendees the tools they seek to find success is their personal, professional, and spiritual life. The key is to first find your passion, then identify what you own that relates to that passion, and then come up with a method to monetize your passion by taking action. I recommend that you write down what your goals are as they relate to your passion, place those goals where you can see them daily for if it is in sight it is in flight but of it is out of sight it is out of mind and will not get done. I also recommend that you write down action steps on the same piece of paper so that you can plan your work and work your plan.

One of my core beliefs is that service to humanity is the best work of life and in an effort to show that I make it a point to do take action daily to be of service and value to those I come in contact with through out the day. It is important to go where you are directed with passion and kindness in your heart as you take action for this is when you will start to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. Remember the energy you bring to the day as you are putting your passion into action will determine the success that you experience.

As you move forward by becoming an action taker remember the only person that can hold your back is you. Wishing you much success. If you have questions or comments please direct them to me at rd1299@aol.com

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
