Dear Whoever's In Need Of Some Motivation,
Life can be difficult sometimes, and you of all people know it to be true. Fights with friends or family members. The pile of work that never seizes to stop growing. Sometimes you just want to pull your hair out and scream as loud as you can, even though you know doing so won't accomplish a thing. I'm here to tell you that it's okay to do this. Go right ahead and scream and yell and kick until there's no voice left in you. Get all the frustration out of you and then compose yourself once more and go do what you have to do.
Sometimes the person who is causing you problems is you yourself. Now is the time of year when people make a list of goals and resolutions they want to fulfill. Resolutions are also notorious for going uncompleted because their owners give up when the going gets tough. Don't be one of those people. If you want to lose that weight, lose it at your own pace and don't listen to others as to how to go about it. You know you and your body better than anyone else and you know how to set a realistic goal for yourself. Don't set yourself up for failure by saying you're going to lose 50 pounds in four weeks when you know you can't. One week in you're going to realize you can't do it, you're going to get frustrated and give up completely instead of simply altering your goal parameters. You can lose that magical number over time and with dedication.
Now is the time to go out into the world and own it. Something isn't going your way and life is kicking your butt every which way into next week? Pick yourself up and dust yourself off. Keep telling yourself that you got this and nothing is going to hold you back. Life is composed of ups and downs, and it is your choice to decide how you're going to handle those roller coaster moments.
