To my car,
I guess I should start off by saying thank you. Thank you for always being there. Whether I would drag you out at midnight for late night food runs or the last minute road trips with my friends. I know we tend to drive a little fast and play the music a little... well maybe a lot too loud, but no matter the circumstance you’re always up for the challenge.
I also have to thank you for being my escape. If I was ever having a bad day, it was nothing a little drive around town with the windows down couldn't fix. It was nice knowing that if at any time I just needed to get away, you were always ready to ride shotgun -- literally.
I should take this time to also apologize to you. I'm sorry for the all of the car rides where I thought I had a decent voice and belted all of the lyrics to Adele or Taylor Swift. Or the times I thought I was just as good of a rapper as Drake. We both know I'm not. At least you can't laugh at me though so the reality of the situation doesn't hurt as much.
Now would probably be a good time to apologize for the times I wasn't the best car owner. For the weeks I neglected the fact that you desperately needed a car wash or to be vacuumed, I'm sorry for that. And for the times where I would forget to shut the lights off and I would wake up the next morning to a dead battery -- this occurred on several different occasions. I working on my forgetfulness but until that is fixed, I'm sorry that you have to take the brunt of it.
Well car, I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you. You've given me plenty of laughs as well as witnessing a lot of laughs and a lot of tears too. You may not be the newest or shiniest car driving around town, but I would never trade any of your dents, scratches and weird sounds for anything. Thanks for sticking around and I can't wait to see what adventures we will find ourselves on next.
Love always,
Your grateful owner
