Dear Big,

For the short time that we have been big and little, I have found a confidant, a mentor, and my best friend. I was so excited to get a big when I joined a sorority, but I never would have known how perfect of a big I was going to be given. I knew from the moment that we met on bid day that we would be friends, and after hanging out with you a couple of times, I knew I had to have you as my big.

I haven’t regretted that decision since. We have so many similarities that make us close and the perfect big and little (cats, avocados, and face in hole pictures), but we also have so many differences, so we introduce each other to new things and are able to teach each other new things as well.

From the moment you got me as a little, you have done nothing but take care of me and spoil me. Every time I hit a milestone, like my president’s interview or initiation, you made sure to take pictures and tell everyone. Although it was excessive, it was also so sweet and showed how much you care about me. I have never questioned once your love for me as your little and I’m grateful for all that you do for me.

One of my favorite things about you and our relationship is how you push me to be a better person every day. You always make sure to text me when you know I have a tough exam coming up or a long research paper due that I’m struggling with. We always study together whether it be the library or Starbucks, and yeah, we do our fair share of talking, but we also accomplish a lot when we’re together. You not only motivate me to do well in school but also to be involved in our sorority. We go to so many events together, and I know I will always have someone to go to events with. You push me to succeed and be involved and that’s so important to me.

But our relationships isn’t all serious, we also have so much fun. I love all of the time we spend together, because no matter what we do, we always have a good time. I’m so thankful for all the times we have gotten (sugar free) ice cream because we were both having bad days. I’m so thankful for our girls nights where we just eat tons of food and talk about life and I sleep in a "Frozen" sleeping bag. I’m so thankful for all that you do for me, from clue week to random Starbucks trips, and all the gifts you still spoil me with. Also, thanks for making an Instagram at my request so I could tag you in pictures.

I hope you like your open letter that you asked me to write you. I’m going to miss you so much this summer, and I can’t wait to make more memories with you next fall. #BestBigLittle2k17
