So many people waste their lives. They waste them worrying, they waste them on bitter feelings, they waste them slaving away to their jobs to buy things, they waste them thinking negative thoughts. I truly think many people need to take a step back and learn to care for themselves and their souls and be more than appreciative of this world we live in. We are getting so wrapped up in the wrong things, and it's creating monsters. Life can be hard, trust me I am well aware, but instead of focusing on the bad things in life we need to appreciate them, and embrace them, because there's really not much else we can do about it.
I have always been an advocate for quotes. They keep me going, and they make me think. Although they are simple, each person that reads a quote perceives it differently, because each and everyone of us experiences a different life. Regardless of how you interpret these quotes, they all have a simple, positive message that I hope you get out of it. I shared not only the quote, but what I personally got out of it as well. So here are some little messages that I hope maybe change your outlook on life (even if it's just a little), or at least make you think a bit. Enjoy!
There is no effort that needs to be put into being nice. I promise you karma will come back around. Say thank you, say please, hold the door, smile.
Do things that make you happy, please. We have a limited time here, don't waste it doing the same routine everyday, you will never learn a thing about yourself. We weren't put here to pay bills and buy cool things then die. Exploring, venturing, finding new places, and meeting new people will teach you more about life and yourself than any job and/or education.
You're never going to get through life if you don't appreciate the unfortunate things that have happened to you in life. They only made you stronger, so be grateful for them.
If you haven't listened or at least read the lyrics to this Kenny Chesney song, please do. It has so many good messages. Not much explanation to this one, just do it.
Materialistic things are irrelevant compared to what you take away from your journey through life. What you learn from your adventures and others' stories of their adventures, is more valuable than any single item you could ever purchase. I cannot stress this one enough.
Wander. Get lost. Embrace it. It's always a new experience and you will take away at least one thing from doing so. Wonder. Use your brain. Exhaust it.
We are humans, we are meant to feel. We have brains to think and they don't have a max capacity. And bad things happen so that we learn and grow. Embrace everything that comes your way. Never have too much pride and never stop trying to better yourself.
This one is so so so important and please remember this. We are a constant work in progress, and there is no limit to our growth as people. Be patient, and please be kind to yourself. There is not and never will be one single person on this earth that doesn't have room for improvement, so don't be too harsh on yourself. As long as you're trying to grow as a person, you're doing more than enough.
Don't spend your life comparing yours to others, because they are probably doing the same. Someone will always have more than you, and someone's life may always seem cooler or more put together, it's time to let go of that. What's more important is being eternally grateful for what you do have, because I can promise you it's a lot more than what many people in this world have. Your life is yours, and you should value that because it's unique and different than any other single person's life on this Earth. If you appreciate yourself, your life, and your knowledge, that is true happiness.
Be understanding of everyone you meet. You have not a single clue of what they went through in their life and I guarantee you that everything you pick out that you dislike about someone, there is something that they went through to make them that way. We are all different and unique because we all have different stories. Do not judge.
If someone is bringing negativity into your life, remove them and you will thank yourself in the long run. Only surround yourself with people who inspire you to become a better person inside and out. This is so essential.
Ending this with one similar to the first, please just be nice. It is the simplest thing, and the results will help you more than anything else can. Be kind, be caring, be understanding, and do not judge. It will make you a happier person, and will make those around you happy as well. Radiate kindness and it will pay off.
I hope these better some of your perspectives, or like I said at least make you think a little bit. Don't get caught up on the past, you can't change it. Don't stress about your future, you can't control it. The only thing you can control is what you are doing in this moment and how you are thinking. If you fill your life and your thoughts with positivity, and things that will make you grow, you'll thank yourself down the road. We are only here once, make your journey worthwhile.
