Let me start off by saying, I want to acknowledge that people can have bad days due to mental illnesses and other reasons, that is a whole other battle that I hope people are able to overcome. The main purpose of this article is for the people who are having a different patch in their life than normal. It is okay to have a good day. It is okay to have a bad day. I hope that you are having more good days than bad days. If this is not that case, please pay attention to this… If you are having a bad day, that is more than okay because without this bad day or the next few bad days, you can never grow or move forward. Yes, these days suck, suck a lot, and suck more than needed, but these days are also reminders to not take life as a walk in the park.
This is life’s way of saying, “Hey wake up! You’re in a slump!”
This reminder can be an easy kick with something as simple as tripping over your untied shoe or having a family member eat your leftovers. Then it can be a huge, difficult kick such as forgetting a project for school or your phone dying during a very important call. These do not go in any order, it can start off with the hard one right up front as a big wake up call or a small one to just nudge you back on track. These rough patches can last from a few hours to days, it depends on when people realize these kicks in life and make the change to get back on track.
Now people who are having a good day, that is great! Keep up the positivity and the effort you have put in to make it a good day. Please spread that to others and encourage them to have a good day or help another person who is having a bad day. The other thing is, please do not take the good days for granted. Recognize that they are good days. Recognize how it makes you feel. Recognize on how you got there and how to avoid a bad day.
All in all, take it one day, two days at a time regardless if it is a good day or a bad day or a combination of both. Once again, it is okay to have either day and that is because you are important in the world and life just wants you to stay on the right track. Look forward to your next day and take it for what it's worth.
