Realizing you're about to be a senior in college is nothing but terrifying, exciting, and overwhelming. Within one year you'll most likely be walking at graduation and entering the world of adulthood. This incredible experience is one that is best expressed by the cast of new girl. Because no one tells it like Schmidt.
It's here. You're finally done with finals, and junior year has been one for the books.
Textbooks, that is. College is hard, guys.
Even better, it's summer and the possibilities are literally endless.
The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and you are ready for some sweet, sweet, summertime.
Except not, because you're going to be a senior in the fall.
Just in case you forgot.
So instead of fun trips to the beach and bottomless margs, you'll probably be off doing an internship.
Which if you enjoy what you want to do, you should be fine. But if that means you'll be in an office all day, there may be rough times ahead.
That is, if you were prepared enough and actually applied for an internship.
...or you didn't get hired. Life is hard, guys.
But if you didn't, that's cool cause you have more time to think about how not ready you are to be an adult.
For most students that means only one more year of free living, free eating, and sometimes free fun. Courtesy of mom and dad. Seriously, thanks for that.
But it's ok, because this will be your year.
But don't quote me on that.
Hopefully.
Because, again, life is hard.
Just maybe skip out of your college town for freshman orientation.
Remember how small and excited you were when you went to orientation?
You don't need to be reminded of that adorable hope you once had.
And in order to forget that hope, you've shoveled about ten tons of Chipotle in your face for the past three years.
Maybe forget about all this nonsense and do the most summery thing possible.
Everyone needs a break, and nothing strengthens a friendship quite like being confined in a car together for several hours.
And maybe forget about how this is possibly the last time you're all together like this.
Nope, don't even think about your friends that are graduating early, or your friends that have jobs lined up across the country, or your friends that are going to grad school far away. You don't need to think about it.
Just prepare for your best year yet.
Again, hopefully.
Fingers Crossed.
Let's just sweep that bad right under the college rug.
