5 Reasons Why You Should Watch 'Big Mouth'
Netflix

1. It is hilariously inappropriate.

This show is so funny because it shows all the weird things that went on with guys and girls in middle school but it depicts in it a way that makes you laugh and cringe at the same time. There's lots of weirdly placed cuss words, a lot of weird romances, and it just shows how weird middle school was for just about everyone.

2. It depicts the awkwardness everyone felt in middle school.

The couples don't know how to be couples, the girls are figuring out what kind of bras they wanna wear, they're also dealing with the grossness of becoming a ~woman~, the guys are trying to figure out what's going on with them in general, and I think that's how everyone felt as a pre-teen about to go through puberty or going through puberty. You never really knew what was going on in middle school and you just wanted to fit in and be "normal" even though you don't even really know what normal is.

3. Big mouth is a coming of age show.

Although some of the things in the show are inappropriate, it really is about a bunch of kids trying to figure out life and find their place in the world. I mean, that's what everyone goes through ESPECIALLY in middle school. You learn a lot about yourself, you develop friendships with people and learn how to maintain those friendships, and you learn how to sort of be yourself.

4. You see a different side of puberty, and now you understand why you were such an angsty teen.

Oh man, this show is like the perfect example of how you became that emotional teen with too much eyeliner and not enough light colored clothing. You see how people get in with the "cool" kids, and you see how pre-teens experiment with their sexualities (even in middle school, trust me it was a weird time even for me.) It showed why girls in my generation were so into the Twilight saga and gave a little insight into the weird stuff guys did that girls would never understand.

5. It explores different parts of being in middle school and wanting to fit in.

You see different ways of how girls and guys acted in middle school and it teaches you how you have really GLOWED up from that person you were in middle school. You see how wanting to fit in with the cool kids is something everyone wants to do but also it shows how you should also be true to yourself which is something I did not have in middle school. It shows how girls and guys differ in many ways other than how we go through puberty; and it celebrates becoming a young adult in different, slightly inappropriate ways.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
