WEIGHT: 291.6
WAIST: 47"
It was January 1st, when I decided to take on a lifestyle change with my eating habits, and being more active. I waited until January 8th, payday, to actually start. I went to the store and bought just a few items, because it was my first time vegetarian shopping.
I had no idea what to buy.
I downloaded my Lifesum app, and became acquainted with it. When I started, the app had me on a 1,858 calorie diet. Day 1, I went over by 434 calories and 279 grams of carbohydrates. For breakfast, I had a bowl of Special K Vanilla Almond Cereal, that was good. For lunch, I started to eat the Special K granola, when I looked on the back, and discovered a ½ cup of granola is 200 calories! Who is going to eat a half cup of anything for lunch?
I grabbed my oranges. One can of oranges is 400 calories. My lunch was 800 calories total! I indulged because I didn’t have anything else. By the end of my shift, I was famished! A young woman who works behind me gave me three slices of cheese pizza. I only ate two, but my calorie count jumped. That night I went home to the soup I had been slow cooking all day long. I input the ingredient information into the app and after two bowls, I had eaten 534 calories. Day one I quickly realized, I had no idea what I was doing.
After adjusting my diet a little, I no longer eat anything that comes from a can and I check the calories in everything that I buy from the store. Also, I make sure, with help from the app, that I’m drinking eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day. For the record, one regular size bottle of water is equivalent to two glasses. Eight of those bottles, is equivalent to a gallon.
On the morning of January 14th, I had two brown sugar Pop Tarts (420 calories) and I did my first wrap from itWorks. My wrap schedule went as follows: Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday. On Day 1 I measured at a 45” waist. Now, what I did learn from another itWorks rep (because they are everywhere now) was, the wraps are not a detox or a weight loss supplement, they are for skin toning. I would suggest this product to anyone who has a few saggy areas. I decided to do my stomach area before I knew this information. My friend, Paulina helped me by applying the wrap and wrapping my midsection in plastic wrap. The instructions say to wait for forty five minutes and then remove. The results are not immediate. You must wait seventy two hours, before you can compare.
What you are doing when you wrap is, allowing the natural ingredients to be absorbed properly in your skin. These ingredients work hand in hand with a lot of water to flush you out. I did not know this at first so, I continued to do eight glasses of water a day after my first wrap. On Pinterest, I found a recipe for a soup called Flush The Fat Away Vegetable Soup.I had been eating this for lunch and dinner for the next few days. I did not see much difference when I went to do my second wrap. I measured at 44 ½”. I made sure I did my eight glasses, but tried to shoot for a little more. The day before my third wrap is when I decided, I should be drinking a gallon of water a day, if not more. So Tuesday, January 19th, I made sure I was guzzling down as much water as possible. Wednesday, after a day of only eating soup for breakfast, vegetable nachos for lunch and a bag of Pop Secret popcorn for my snack (1544 calories- yea, I went over), I measured myself and I actually went up an inch! I measured 46”.
By Saturday, I was over it! I had completely changed my diet. So I had a smoothie for breakfast and lunch and Vegetable lasagna for dinner. But, Lo’ and behold, I had gone up again to a full 47”. I know I just started this healthy life, but because my weight is on an unfortunate steady rise, I have linked up with my coworker, Trista, doing a shake or smoothie for breakfast and lunch and then having a real dinner. Trista has eight ounces of any kind of meat as long as it is not pork and four cups of vegetables. I will usually partake in a soup I have made.

Now, I’m not going to be negative and say itWorks does not work. It just did not work for me at this time in my life. At this point, my body is going through a change. I was the biggest carnivore and almost immediately, I switched to a vegetarian. I’m sure my body is in shock right now. Like, Woooaaah! What’s happeniiiiing?!
What I have noticed over these past few days, from the waist down, everything is going great. My knees do not hurt as much. My butt originally had a dip in it. I have an onion for a booty now.(Onion Booty- A gluteus maximus so perfect in shape, with the right amount of jiggle that makes a man cry when he looks at it.)
My thighs are getting more tone and have a drastic reduction in cellulite. But from the waist up it is all… bad. I am clearly gaining weight. My chin is currently swinging on the same plane as my breasts and my stomach is getting low like Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz. The only thing I can think is that my body is not pleased with the turn of events. And because of this, I think that may be why the itWorks wraps did not work for me.Would I try it again?Sure!
Next week, I will share with you how the Lemon Water Detox goes for me and if I start to have any regrets about starting this #FatBeGoneTour.
