This summer I got to experience the beauty of our beautiful country at the Grand Canyon. The beauty of living in the US is our national parks. I have gone to many of the country’s national parks, and every time my family tries to figure out what country other people are from. We go to other countries around the world to see the history, but in our country, we have the beauty of nature right at our front door. Here are some of my favorite five national parks that I have been to.
1. Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon offers the peacefulness you are looking for on vacation. You can experience it by hiking into the canyon, walking the rim trails, or riding your bike, or you can rent one, along the rim.
2. Yellowstone National Park
Yes, it may smell terrible, but the hot water springs are beautiful to see. There I stayed at one of the cabins and we got to experience life without television or the internet.
3. Rocky Mountain National Park
The mountains are gorgeous just to sit outside and watch nature come to life. It is also a great place to go skiing during the winter.
4. Mesa Verde National Park
If you want to experience the culture of the Native Americans, this is the place to be. You hike down into this beautiful city of the Pueblos.
5. Mount Rushmore
Need a quick trip and live in or around the state of South Dakota this is the place for you. Yes, it may not be as grand as some of the other national parks, but it is a place every American should go to.
