MSU Regular Season Told In Tom Izzo Memes

I think we can all agree that the regular season for this MSU Men’s Basketball team has been quite the nail biter, and if you still have all your nail beds in tact, you’re not a true Spartan fan. This team has faced just about every obstacle you can imagine throughout their season. For those of you that aren’t extremely familiar with these intense moments throughout the Spartans regular season, here are a few of them just to get you a little educated before March Madness begins! (And what better way to showcase these moments than with Tom Izzo memes, am I right?)

Before the season started, MSU was pre-season ranked at number 13 in the polls, but luckily Tom Izzo isn’t one to quite care about the numbers.

Spectators of course quickly changed their minds after Michigan State pulled off a huge upset against top ranked Kansas in week three. This shot MSU all the way up from being ranked 13th to being ranked third in the nation.

MSU continues this winning streak for 11 games, giving the Spartans the best start in school history (12-0). However, this streak comes to an end when Denzel Valentine gets hurt and is out two-to-three weeks due to knee surgery. MSU was handed their first loss of the season against Iowa, who was ranked fourth in the nation at the time.

The Spartans go on to win three games after this tragic loss, but then have three back-to-back Big Ten losses, one of those being to the Hawkeyes again.

After this, MSU finishes out their regular season winning their last 10 of 11 games, handing over just one loss to Purdue. With a 26-5 regular season record and the Spartans arguably playing the best basketball they’ve played all season right now, I would say this team is March Madness ready. I also think Tom Izzo would agree. LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!
