Most Memorable Moments of Super Bowl 50

One of the great things about Super Bowl Sunday, besides the game and the food that is, is the mass appeal the game gets even weeks after the huge event. Although most of us football fans are sad football season is over, it really being over doesn't register right away. This is because everyone spends time talking about all the crazy plays, the half-time show, and even some moments that are just funny. Memes about the game circled the Internet weeks after, putting smiles on the faces of fans. For those of you who miss football season as much as I do, hope you enjoy reminiscing about that last game with my article.

The bouncing field goal

It’s not very often during any professional football game to see a field goal kick miss. As a New York Giants fan, I was hoping this would have happened in a game this season where the Giants played the New England Patriots, but it didn’t. Field goals are much easier to make than touchdowns, which is why teams go for them if they have only one more down left. You’d think it would be second nature for professional football players to kick field goals, but sometimes mistakes are made. Plus, what are really the odds of it hitting the post? I’m sure place kicker Graham Gano is getting a lot of heat from his team.

Tom Brady getting booed during the Super Bowl MVP ceremony

Some might think that Tom Brady “got away” with the Deflategate scandal, but in a way he didn't. His reputation and his team were greatly tarnished by this whole controversy. For the past year, people have been referring to Tom Brady as 'Tom Bratty' and have even been referring to his head coach Bill Belichick as 'Belicheat.' On top of this, many see Tom Brady and Peyton Manning as rivals. If it wasn’t for the Mannings, Brady would have potentially had four more Super Bowl rings. He lost the Super Bowl twice to Peyton's brother, Eli, and the AFC Championship twice to Peyton.

Eli Manning's face after that last Broncos touchdown

Eli Manning’s reaction to Peyton’s last Super Bowl touchdown was something that's been talked about all throughout the media on the following day. Many fans were almost annoyed at Eli for his reaction, thinking he was mad that his brother, who finally has as many Super Bowl rings as him. His face certainly looked that way, but in an interview Eli said that he was just thinking of whether or not Peyton was going to run the ball in for two points instead of going for the field goal. He said that he's not the type to celebrate until the game is over. Peyton had also confirmed this.

Peyton Manning's response to the pending, "Are you retiring?" question

Rumors of Peyton Manning eventually retiring have been circling around for years. Many thought he was going to retire if no one picked him up when the Indianapolis Colts let him go because of his injuries. When Peyton was in his last Super Bowl two years ago against the Seattle Seahawks, many rumors of him retiring circled around again. At the age of 39, Peyton is the oldest quarterback to ever win a Super Bowl. After Peyton’s Super Bowl 50 win, people thought they were finally going to get an answer, but instead he diffused the question. It would be cool to see him play Eli in a Super Bowl before he retires.

The Denver Broncos defense scoring the team's first touchdown

One thing most people don’t expect to see in a Super Bowl, or in any football game for that matter, is for a touchdown to happen when the quarterback for that team isn’t even on the field. The Broncos defense this Super Bowl was very impressive, sacking quarterback Cam Newton nearly six times. This is why a defensive player was named MVP this year instead of the quarterback. According to ESPN, defensive player Von Miller sacked quarterback Newton two-and -a-half times during the game. The sack above was a game-changing one, which is why Miller was rightfully named Super Bowl MVP.

An offensive player defying gravity to score the first touchdown

Even though the Carolina Panthers only scored one touchdown in the game, it definitely was a memorable one. Wide receiver John Stewart flew far and high in order to go over mounds of people to make it past that line for the touchdown. Instead of throwing the ball, Newton just handed it off for Stewart to jump into the end zone with. Everyone else was so distracted with tackling the other players that they forgot to cover Stewart. The offense, as well as the defense, for the Panthers were definitely on point at that time. This moment was replayed a couple of times as well because it makes the perfect photo opp.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
