Cardinal Direction is running in the 2015-2016 Ball State SGA election for the next executive slate. They are running against two other slates in this year's election.
Cardinal Direction has four platform points. They include visionary, advocacy, wellness and safety.
The slate consists of Jake Cash, presidential candidate; Wesley Crouch, vice presidential candidate; Jessica Sharkey, secretarial candidate; and Destinee Burrell, treasurer candidate.
Presidential candidate, Jake Cash, recently won the award for Best FIJI member of Indiana. Cash was the president of FIJI, Beta Sigma for the 2013-2014 school year when the chapter won Best Chapter of the United States and Canada. Cash's favorite platform point is #BSUCan be visionary. His favorite point is implementing a Dead Week before finals week. Cash loves traveling. He spent this past summer studying abroad in Madrid. Cash is a dedicated student, brother and friend. His sense of humor is his best characteristic.
Wes Crouch is a determined scholar. Losing 60 pounds, Crouch is determined to implement a healthy lifestyle on his peers. He was Ball State's 2014 Homecoming King. When he isn't working with College Mentors for Kids, Crouch can be found enjoying a relaxing day fishing. He thinks he's the funniest person he ever met, but we beg to differ. Crouch calls Muncie home and wants Ball State to be active. "My fresh prospective coming in here is going to drive BSU in a different direction," Crouch said.
Jesi Sharkey is a Burberry Bold Scholar. She wants to give back to Ball State as much as she can because she's learned to love the campus so much. She wants students to enjoy every aspect of college. She knows #BSUCan be safe that's why she's going to make Muncie brighter by installing street lights. Sharkey always keeps a positive attitude and continues to go forward. When Sharkey finds some spare time, she enjoys outdoor sports. She's an avid snowboarder. And she has a soft spot for pit bulls.
Destinee Burrell knows #BSUCan advocate. Burrell is a sophomore legal studies major. Jhene Aiko is her favorite artist, and she likes to get down with her bad self. Burrell loves her team and believes they can move Ball State forward. She believes in being genuine to everyone and is supporting her slate because she knows they can implement all of their points. When she's not listening to Wes's terrible jokes, she can be found cuddling with her stuffed bear named Teddy.
Cardinal Direction is ready to move Ball State forward. They have created a new direction for Ball State and firmly believe in their platform points. They truly care about Ball State students and their needs.
