Let's face it, sometimes life sucks. You didn't get that raise you worked so hard for, your significant other dumps you, your bills are late, and you realize you haven't spoken to your mother in about a week when you look at your text messages to see 40 missed texts from her. Sometimes you just want to break down and cry... but there is nothing at all wrong with that. I find that a good cry every now and then is very useful in order to be able to get up and move on.
Don't let it define you.
Yeah, bad things happen... even to good people, but there is no reason to put your life on hold because things get hard.
Think about this: Do you want that person who broke up with you ten years ago to still hurt you? No! That's actual crazy talk. That person was put in your life to teach you a lesson and shape you as a person. My theory is, every person you date is growing you into the person ready for the one you're going to marry.
If you let every bad thing that has happened to you stay with you then you're going to be miserable. It's not worth it to dwell when good things could be looking you dead in the face screaming, "Hey! Move on, I'm right here."
Come out swinging.
Yeah, life doesn't go how you expect it to, just don't give up. I have a quote on my wall that read, "No matter what happens, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up." I read that every day to remind me that life happens and the best thing you can do is move forward.
Show them that they made a mistake letting you go, overlooking you or doubting you. Don't worry, they'll see soon enough what they're missing, but you're going to be too far ahead of them to even see them when you look back!
Be a better you!
Every moment you've been through has lead you to where you are today. And guess what? You're alive and that's something to be happy about -something to look forward to. You're life is such a blessing.
Maybe go for a run, clear your head. Let your mind catch up to your body. Just please don't ever forget your worth!
