Angelinos are anxiously awaiting the opening of OUE Skyspace Los Angeles, which is a part of a $50 million renovation of the U.S. Bank Building. This innovative experience is set to open June 25 and will undoubtedly be greeted with numerous hashtags, Snapchats, and Instagram posts.
OUE Skyspace will be California's tallest open-air observation deck, offering visitors a 360-degree view of the City of Angels. This unique destination will be located 1,000 feet above the city in the U.S. Bank Tower. Guests can look forward to 2,800 square feet of unmatched, aesthetically pleasing views of downtown L.A.
Aside from the two observation decks that will be open to the public, Skyspace will also offer a list of attractions, such as the widely talked about Skyslide. This thrilling feature is an outdoor glass slide, which is 45 feet long and four feet wide. The Skyslide is made up of 1-1/4 inches of thick glass, which will span from the 70th to the 69th floor of the building.
Currently, Los Angeles does not offer any other experience even remotely similar to this new installation, which will unquestionably make this ride a favorite for both tourists and downtown inhabitants.
Furthermore, the U.S. Bank building will also have a digital interactive level to highlight the advancements in technology in this flourishing city. This floor will include a Digital Topography wall of Los Angeles, an infinity mirror and a silhouette wall.
Although OUE Skyspace Los Angeles has several sources of entertainment for its visitors to enjoy, tickets are slightly overpriced ranging anywhere from $27-$33 for a timed, 30 minute entry.
Nonetheless, Skyspace L.A. will be a revitalizing component to the city of Los Angeles as it immerses tourists in modern technology and architecture of the city.
