When the person you love and care about isn't by your side, it can be tough to make things work. There are lots of little things you can do to make sure you and your significant other feel the love while you're apart.

1. Movie Nights

I know that you're probably wondering how you could possibly have a movie night when it feels like your significant other is a million miles away. But, if you're a movie lover like me, you make things work. Schedule a date night where both of you have enough time to cozy up in your rooms with a blanket, some popcorn, and some technology.

You can FaceTime your boo, set up Netflix on your laptops, and VOILA, a cute little movie night! (Just make sure to press play at the same time).

2. Little updates and photos

When you're apart, you can't see what is going on in your significant other's life. Luckily we have so much technology at the tips of our fingers. I know this seems obvious, but it's so important to keep your partner in the loop. Whether it's a text, a snapchat, or even a meme sent over Insta, it's the little things that make you feel close.

Telling your partner about your latest adventure, a new friend you made, or even sending a picture of a cute dog you saw is a way to share pieces of your life with them. Communication is key.

3. Bucket lists

Having a bucket list or a plan of things that you want to do the next time that you are together is a good way to stay excited about your relationship and your future. You can make a list of some dates that you plan to go on, the foods you plan to eat, places you plan to go, or anything else that you like to share together.

If you're feeling super inspired you can make themed lists. Did someone say spooky bucket list?

4. Good morning and good night

Beginning and ending your day with a phone call, even it's a minute long, can make you feel that much closer. It's really important to stay connected when you're apart. Setting specific times to talk on the phone, even if they aren't the morning and night, is important to make sure that you keep in touch every day.

Calling is a way that you can be sure to let them know that you care.

5. Sharing music

Music has always had a way of bringing people together. When you hear a song that makes you think of your significant other, or a song you think that they would like you can share it with them to put a smile on their face. Knowing that you partner recommended a song makes listening to it feel like a special and shared experience.

If you're feeling really extra you can go all out and make a whole playlist for your boo.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
