Being the youngest sibling hasn't always been easy. I was the annoying little sister that just wanted to fit in with my older sister and brother. Throughout the years of growing out of the annoying little sister stage, my siblings have taught me a lot, and I need to thank them for that.
To my sister:
You were my first best friend, my first babysitter, and the first person to drag me around in a red wagon. You were my first teacher in the basement where we played school. You taught me how to paint my nails, you attempted to do something with my nappy-ass hair (sorry), and as I've gotten older, you've let me share (steal) your clothes. While our 11-year age difference always made me feel a little more distant from you than I would have liked when I was younger, you tried your hardest to make sure we weren't just sisters, but friends. Thank you (and happy birthday). I love you Sister Kath.
To my brother:
You were my first hero, knight in shining armor, and the first person to make me feel like the cool kid because all of your friends knew my name. You turned me into the little sister that stood with the dads at sporting events and cussed out the refs. You made me the proudest little sister in the world; no one was as good of an athlete as my big brother! Even though I'm seven years younger, you always let me hang out with your friends (even if it was because Mom said she would call me upstairs in five minutes), but most importantly, you have always protected me, my pride and my feelings. Thank you. I love you Sparky.
To you both:
We have a lot of good memories together. For instance, remember the time I glued both my eyes shut with nail glue? Or the numerous times as a child where I didn't have a filter? Regardless, you guys have loved me just the same.
You never hear this, but thank you for being my older siblings.
I love you.
Your baby sister.
