Soccer is my number one favorite sport!

Back in the day when I played Soccer, there were many things that all of us soccer girl players dreaded or could relate to and here are 17 things that I can say were things that we soccer girls can all relate to!

1. No matter what, whether it was a practice or a game, we always put our hair up in a ponytail or messy bun because we didn't want sweat ruining our hair when playing the game.

2. Buying a new pair of Cleats was heaven on earth.

3. Having a new soccer ball for a new year of Soccer season was the best feeling ever, as with new soccer cleats, too.

4. Whether it was running suicides or doing Indian wind sprints, those were the worst, even running around the field was tiring and took the best out of us and after that, we would want to rest and complain how our legs hurt.

5. Those pregame talking times where we all goofed around and just chilled when we should have been practicing and warming up for the next game or the game itself and we would get yelled at by the coaches to get moving! Good times...right?

6. Your soccer team was family and at the time, school friends needed to be school friends. But being with your team was great because that is where home was at the time. The soccer field was our home and our team was our family.

7. Rushing home from practices and doing homework despite how tired you are. Let's not forget having to rush into the shower and eat dinner before going to bed.

8. Oh, let's not forget those patches we got at the tournaments/games and wanting to collect so many for our bags.

9. The best feeling was when you got your favorite jersey number.

10. Oh, remember those days, where it was game day and you forgot to lay out your uniform, pads, socks, and cleats the previous night so you searching crazily two to three hours before game time.

11. Being the one to score a goal was the best feeling ever!

12. You would take a bruise, cut, turf burn, a kick in the knees, heel, shin, or head to the ball or any other body part just to get the ball from your opponent so your team would have the ball.

13. Traveling to different areas in the state, as well as different states to play games was cool!

14. When practice or a game is canceled, our life was ruined because we wanted to play so badly and we're like...

15.Rain or shine, we would want to play no matter if we would sweat because of the hot weather or be drench in rain. Our hearts didn't care about the weather our hearts went to the game.

16. Sitting on the bench was boring and so we would bother coach to put us back in to play.

17. Being told that you made a recreational/competitive/junior/senior high school team was the best feeling ever and also is if you make a college team, too. So exciting !

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
