Hey there! Well as of right now I am in my freshman year of college, and I’m struggling without you. I look around and it seems that everyone has found their “person," meanwhile, I have not. So this one is to you.
First I want to start off by saying I am sorry.
A friendship with me is work, and since you are taking on the role of being my best friend, you have some work cut out for you. I am loud, crazy, emotional and a little bit of a drama queen. I over think just about everything that happens, and I keep my anger bottled up so you will have to take my heat some days. I am terrible when it comes to hair and make up, so I will be constantly asking for your help. I will complain about gaining weight, and then ask you to go buy me cookie dough. I will hate boys, but constantly talk about how cute they are. The bottom line is, I am a handful.
But we will have more fun than you ever imagined.
There will be nights where I run into your room at midnight and say, “lets go on an adventure," and I hope you are the type of person to say yes. But if you don’t that is okay because that’s what is so cool about best friends, no matter what you are doing it will always be fun. I cannot wait for the Netflix marathons we will have when we don’t want to go out, and the crazy memories we will make when we do. From the family vacations I will drag you on, to the random road trips when we don't want to study. No matter where we are or what we are doing, my time with you will always be worth it.
All of this being said, I have had fake friendships. I have been stabbed in the back and had my trust broken. I have gone through the best friend break ups and I have cried many tears over them. And it is because of all these reasons that when I do find you, I will love you like you are my sister. I promise to be by your side at your happiest moments, and also when you just need to have a good cry. I have dealt with life with out you and I have gotten by, but it is so awesome to know that you are out there and life will be so much better when I have you going through life with me. I will have your back and stand up for you no matter what happens. I will always be your rock, sister, maid of honor, and yes, your “person."
So best friend...
You do not know this yet, but right now I am sitting alone in a dorm room praying that I find you soon. But until then, I love you and I can’t wait to meet you.
