Dear Big,
Thank you for accepting me. When I joined Alpha Phi Omega, I had been contemplating transferring. From the start, you have always accepted and cared about me. I don't know if you realize how your kindness effects the people around you, but I think that you were one of the major reasons I decided I loved ONU. Thank you for being that for me. Thank you for being my sunshine.
Thank you for being fun. Honestly, I like to be serious, I like to talk about the hard stuff and have real "heart to heart" conversations, but I don't want everything to be like that. Thank you for being fun with me. Thank you for making me laugh, making me relax and always being serious when necessary, but fun all the rest of the time.
Thank you for being crafty. Honestly some of my favorite things in my room were made by you. I don't know how you got so artistic, but thank you for sharing that with me. I didn't join the fraternity for the crafts, but it's definitely a perk of having the best big in the world.
Also, I don't think I've ever met someone so determined. Maybe sometimes your goals are unrealistic (who doesn't do that?) but you never give up when you know it's attainable. You reach for the stars, and you catch them. I believe that you can do anything you want to do. You deserve all the best things in the world, I hope you know that, and I hope you never stop chasing your dreams. Also, thank you for letting me chase mine. Thank for pointing out my strengths and weaknesses and helping me to not only become a better brother, but a better person overall. Thank you for being honest and telling me when I need to get my stuff together, and get organized. I think that because you pointed out that I needed to improve to be a better student to reach my goals of leadership, I did it. I really look up to you as a person, and knowing what you expect out of me has helped me to change what I expect out of me.
Thank you for encouraging me to be more than I thought I can be. I never thought I could try to be a leader, or run for exec or even get better grades, but because of you I feel like I have more confidence. I am willing to go out there and do more things, and take risks. Thank you for showing me that there is a bright side to everything if you just look for it.
I love you, Big. I am so happy that we were paired together and I couldn't have ask for someone better. I want you to know that no matter what you're going through, I will always try to be there for you in whatever way I can. I want you to feel like I am someone you can talk to, and vice versa. I feel like I could tell you anything. I will always treasure our Big/Little dates: late night walmart runs, and Taco bell.
Thank you for being the best big/brother/friend/mentor/mom/role model I could ever ask for.
