Mom,
I do not even know where to start. You are my truest best friend and I do not know how I got so lucky! Mother's Day was a couple days ago and that day is all about celebrating you. I want you to know that you deserve to be celebrated every single day of the year. Not just one.
I may not tell you how thankful I am that God gave me you as my mother, but I am! If I wrote out a whole list of reasons why I love you, it would be never-ending. So, here are a few!
First of all, you are my biggest cheerleader. You have supported me through anything that I put my mind to. Rarely did you tell me I could not do something, but instead you encouraged me even more. You have been with me through every crazy idea that I have had. You have sat through every dance recital, every cheer competition, and every pageant which may not have always been your favorite thing in the whole entire world but you were there. Your support has kept me going during the hardest times and has always pushed me to be better than I was yesterday. For this I am forever grateful.
You have been there for me through all seasons. Whether it be to celebrate the greatest joys or as a shoulder to cry on in the midst of hurt and heartbreak, you have been there for it all and I know that you always will be. Although you may not always have the words that will make every single situation better, the words that you do say are always comforting, wise, and out of love as you know what is best for me. In fact, sometimes you know me better than I even know myself.
Your unfailing love reflects the love of Jesus. No matter what I do, you love me no matter what. Many kids worry about not being able to make their parents proud and although I want to make you guys proud, I know that I do not have to constantly prove myself. You are easy to talk to and I know that I can come to you to tell you anything. We have a strong mother-daughter bond that I am so lucky to have found with you.
You have a big heart. There is never a time when you do not want to help others around you. Of course, sometimes you even feel guilty when you are not the one to step up and help. This is where I get my guilt from too. You are always trying your best to get the job done and to give a helping hand.
I am so blessed that I get to call you mom!
I hope you know how loved, beautiful, and appreciated you really are. I may be an adult now, but I will always need you. There will never be a time that I don't. While college has made me more independent, it has also made me realize how much I miss you when I am not around you. It has made me appreciate the time that I spend with you even more. Thank you for all that you have done for me and all that you will do for me! You are the best!
Whenever I am a mother, I hope to be half the woman you are. You inspire me everyday through your love, wisdom, strength, beauty, and kindness. To the world you are just a mother, but to our family you are everything. I do not know how I would get through this crazy life without you. Thank you for being you. I love you more than I can put into words!
Love,
Your Daughter
