To the friend I lost too soon,
As I heard the news, I was shocked. How could someone our age already be taken to heaven? You were so young, you had so much life ahead of you. You had not even graduated college. You did not get to live through your real dreams and passions. You were not even really considered an adult. You never really got to have an adult job. You had not even gotten your dream racing car. You had not even checked everything off of your bucket list. You did not get to re-live decisions that you did not make the right decision. You did not get a second chance. You got taken too soon, God took you too soon.
When He did, He brought the community together. You should have seen the group of students, professors and friends gathered to celebrate your life. You were the one that brought people that have different views on life, or might have different personalities together. Because of you, we all could connect because we knew you. We knew your beautiful smile that would light up the room. We knew your spunky attitude that would make everyone laugh and giggly because it was so unique. We knew your passion for each and every thing that you did in life. We knew how you could be friend with every person that you met, no matter what they looked like, or acted like. We knew you.
You have inspired me and many others. You have taught me to live like everyday is that last. You are an example of this. You would always go out and get what you wanted. You did not care what others would think of you, because you were the one living the life that you created for yourself. I have began to not care what others think of me, because of you. You allowed me to see that life is more than just what others think. Who cares what you wear or what you do in your free time. You have also taught me that I need to do what is right for me.
After having couple therapy through you, I have realized that I need to make decisions that are going to be the best for me. You always had a way to be able to make those tough decisions for yourself, something only someone strong is able to do. You have taught me how important it is to be there for someone that is in need. You were able to listen to me when no one else could. You could relate to my life even if you really could not. You were inspiring.
I miss you. I miss your laughter. I miss your shining smile. I miss our friendship. Just know that you are missed and you had such an impact on those around you. We still think about you all the time. You are an amazing person, just stay that way until I come to meet you.
