Alright. So I completely get it if you're bored. I could care less.
However I saw a tweet the other day where this guy was like "Ugh, there is nothing to do in Jacksonville." All these people are retweeting it and I'm just like...
I understand that a lot of people have this opinion and if you were right, I'd agree with you. However you are wrong and that's okay. That is why I am giving a list of all the great things the river city has to offer.
So to those who think that there is nothing to do in Jacksonville....
VELOCITY
What sounds like a really crummy club is actually one of the most fun places I've been in a while. Get a group of friends to go and you'll have a blast. It's like Rebounderz, but cheaper and better. PLUS they'll even trade you Velocity socks for your old Rebounderz Socks. $14 an hour with endless opportunities. Dodgeball is definitely a highlight if you have a group, but the best part THE NINJA WARRIOR COURSE! It is insane and so much fun. Will you feel like a ninja warrior? Probably not, you'll feel like an out of shape ninja.

SUN RAY CINEMA
If you ever find yourself in the Downtown or Riverside area, give Sun Ray Cinema a try. It is honestly my favorite movie theater, period. The experience is unbeatable and the food is better than any other theater out there. The prices for food are actually reasonable. A movie theater with modestly priced food, what?!?! Yeah, Sun Ray knows what's up! Also, they are always supporting a local artist. That is something you won't find at any other theater.

MOSH
Now let's be honest, you probably haven't been here since you were a kid, but that doesn't mean that it has gotten any less awesome. If anything it's gotten better! On Friday nights, general admission to the museum is $5. $5, for a whole afternoon of entertainment. And to go even further, MOSH has a KILLER planetarium that you can go in for an additional $5.
$10 total to go in the museum and see a planetarium showing that will blow your mind. You honestly can not beat that feeling of being in awe like a kid again at the mosh. The first Friday of the month the planetarium has a cosmic concert is one of the coolest things you'll see. You'll vibe to well-known songs while watching a crazy laser light show. Also, if you pay an additional dollar or two you can get these glasses that distort the lights and make it even more entertaining.

JAGS
How lucky are we to be one of the 32 cities in the nation that is home to their very own football team. Not only that but a team that is going to go to the playoffs this season. We have a killer offense and with our recent defensive additions, we're gonna take it to the limit this year and you're going to want to see them live! #StealTheShow

THE EDGE ROCK GYM
Let's be honest, when has rock climbing ever not sounded like fun? Well, The Edge is the place to go for rock climbing in Jacksonville! Whether you just want to go one time and try it out or get a membership the prices are pretty unbeatable. Also, you get access to the gym there if you're a member. So it's like having a rock climbing and gym membership for half the price of any other membership.

AUTOBAHN
If you're anything like Ricky Bobby, you wanna go fast. For that, AutoBahn IS the place. Now while it's a little pricier than some activities, it is totally worth it. 50MPH against your friends. You can not tell me that doesn't sound like the best.

ART WALK
To say there is a lot of talent in Jacksonville is an understatement. There is a TON of talent in Jacksonville and Art Walk is proof. Where else are you going to find cool art to throw up in your new place like this,
Not in the Downtown area often? No worries! Art Walk is also in Atlantic Beach and Jax Beach! Nothing is better than going out to dinner, walking around and enjoying other people's craft on a cool evening in Jacksonville. Who knows, you may even find a piece you just can't go home without. Not to mention that some of the artists are some of the coolest people you will ever meet!

THEATRE
Jacksonville has a huge and I mean HUGE theatre scene. If you haven't gone out and seen any productions in the Jacksonville area it's a shame, because there are some truly amazing shows done. No matter where you live in Jacksonville there is a community theatre close by. 5 & Dime, Atlantic Beach Experimental Theatre (ABET), Players by The Sea, Theatre Jacksonville, Orange Park Community Theatre, and Amelia Community Theatre are the powerhouses in Jacksonville. Not to mention the up and coming, Bold Theatre Group! If you haven't been out to any of these places, do yourself a favor and go.

ZOO
Much like MOSH, it's probably been a decade since you've been. But it has only gotten bigger and more awesome! The zoo is always going to be cool, regardless of age. So do yourself a favor and go visit the Zoo sometime this summer. Side note: the gardens are pretty rad too.

ICE SKATING
Not even 100 ft away from The Edge, is the Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex. That's right. Ice skating and indoor sports. While the indoor sports require you to join a program, the Ice Skating is open to the public daily and is super super affordable. Cosmic Ice Skating nights are pretty great too!

THE BEACH
Florida is surrounded by water on three sides. THREE SIDES. Your excuse for not going to our beautiful beaches, none.
Adventure Landing was like a staple when I was in middle school. Now that I'm 19, it's just as fun with friends. First of all, they've got killer arcade games for days and laser tag which is also indoors.
Outdoors they have go-carts, a few rides, a batting cage, and my personal favorite mini-golf.
However, the highlight for most is the waterpark. There is definitely something for everyone there and a fun alternative to the beach in the summer.

CONCERTS
Whether it's the big ticket hosted by X102.9 or a band coming through town, there is almost always a concert going on somewhere in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, there is no longer a venue at the beach (RIP Freebirds) there are still plenty of places. Mavericks, Jack Rabbits, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, St. Augustine Amphitheater, 1904 Music Hall, Veteran's Memorial Arena, Florida Theater, Metropolitan Park, Murray Hill Theater, Seawalk Pavilion or The Times Union Center you can almost always find a show going on.

Dinner and a show? Alhambra has got you! Jacksonville's very own professional dinner theatre that puts on shows year round is a must for theater goers.

ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS
Remember when I said the Jacksonville art's scene was huge? Well if you wanna take it to another level visit one of the Art Galleries or museums all around Jacksonville and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've always left happy. Some of Jacksonville's Galleries and Museums include MOCA, J. Johnson, First Street Gallery, Stellers Gallery, and The Cummer Museum.

BOWLING
We've got Beach Bowl at the beach and Bowl America which is down Beach Blvd. Both have their own own version of cosmic bowling which is the best if you haven't done it. If you think you're too cool to bowl, don't talk to me.

SKATEPARKS
Jacksonville is home to the legendary Kona Skate Park. If you love to skate, rollerblade or bike you'll definitely want to stop by and ride the same historic ramps skated on by Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, and many more. If Kona is a little pricey or too out of the way, there is always the public skate park in Atlantic Beach.
It's definitely a great spot to hit up with friends early in the morning or later in the evening. It can be a little hot during the day. A new skate park is currently under construction at Sunshine Park as well.

Whether you just want to go for a nice walk or go fishing The Pier is where it's at. Admission is cheap and you can't beat the view!
