The Izzone is known as one the loudest student sections in the nation. We have had a team turn the ball over three times in a row because we messed up their shot clock. We circle around the arena in the first few rows wearing all white, jumping up and down and screaming as loud as we can. When the opposing team is announced, we have our nicely printed newspapers in front of us chanting "who cares" to each player. As our team is announced, we are yelling right with the announcer each player's name. Once tip off happens, we are patiently waiting for the Spartans to score in order to pop our paper bags. All through out the game we are still as loud as we were at the start.
Everyone ask what makes the Izzone so great. Well here are four reasons why the Izzone is the best student section in the nation.
1. We are all very dedicated.
To be apart of the Izzone, you have to participate in the Izzone camp out to just be able to get good seats for the game. The Izzone is a point system and you earn points for each game you attend as well as how early you show up to each game. The points roll over to the next season causing most of the freshman to be in upper bowl, but gives them incentive to work hard to be in lower bowl next season. Also, students will wait outside for hours just to be in that first row.
2. The Izzone Camp Out
The Izzone campout as mentioned earlier is a yearly tradition that every dedicated fan comes to Munn field and camps for the night. During this time, Head Coach Tom Izzo will come out and pump everyone up. The team even makes an appearance, and after they have made their speeches, they take pictures with their die hard Spartan fans. 
3. The Tradition
When it is your turn to graduate along with all the graduating seniors on the team, you can kiss the Spartan head on the court. During the game, Izzo will pull out all the seniors right before the end to allow them one last standing ovation and the opportunity to kiss the head.
4.The Feeling
Being a part of the Izzone is a feeling that I think most can't explain. It is being proud and cheering on the best school in the nation. It is watching Izzo do his thing as one of the most admired coaches in the nation as well as the most respected. It is feeling of every intense moment, every game changing play and every win or loss that stirs something within you. It is watching one of the players dunk right before the team heads back into the locker room to prepare for the game. It is getting inside the Breslin an hour and half early just to get a good seat. 
The Izzone is something that I think everyone should experience because it is honestly one the best things about being a Michigan State Spartan.
