When Apple updated emojis and featured them with a variety of skin tones, all iPhone users were blessed. However, the new iOS 9.1 update has just raised the bar. They finally decided to give users over 150 new emojis including: new smiley faces, more hand symbols (yes, including the middle finger emoji), new animals, weather signs, foods and drinks, and objects and symbols. Keep on reading to see some funny, relatable, unexpected and significant emojis.

1. The Middle Finger

Yes! its finally here. Apple users have been anticipating this emojis for the longest, and our wish has finally been granted. Now, as it seems to be all fun and games with this emoji, it can (and will) be used for some serious context. This emoji is a great way to express anger towards people or certain situationsm and I can guarantee that everyone I know will be using this emoji. Disclaimer: This emoji has the potential to hurt feelings, so use it wisely. *inserts laughing emoji*

2.The Hot Dog, Burrito, and Taco

If you love food as much as I do, especially burritos, then these new food emojis must excite you too. I finally have a emoji to use for captions when I upload pictures of my burrito from Chipotle, or Moe's. Here are some other new food related emojis: taco, hotdog, cheese, and a bottle of champagne.

3. Eye in the Speech Bubble

This one happens to be a personal favorite. I'm sure we all have witnessed bullying right in front of our eyes. This emoji supports a movement to stand against bullying. It may also be significant to cyber bullying. Commenting on a post with this emoji can mean a lot more than you may think. "If you see something, say something."

4. Smiley Faces

In addition to the new emojis, we have more smileys which relate to the many facial expressions we make daily.

5. The Coffin

This one actually took me by surprise. This is one emoji I never expected to see.

6. Shopping Bags

Because who doesn't love shopping?!

7. Money Face Emoji

I really can't wait to use this on Pay Day.

If you are now interested in using these emojis, I must inform you that it is worth the update. There are also plenty more emojis any Apple user will love, so install the iOS 9.1 update, and explore the new world of emojis. *inserts a bunch of emojis here*

Check out this video for a visual of every new emoji in the iOS 9.1 update. (Thank me later.)

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
