Mississippi State has been so good to me, I wanted to see if others felt the same. With all of the responses I received, I'm confident that everyone else loves it here too.

1.The Community

Almost everybody I asked had this answer. It's hard to miss how kind and friendly everyone is to one another. No matter where you're at a campus, you'll always feel welcomed when you see all of the smiles.

2.Dudy Noble Field

This is pretty self explanatory. Baseball is king around here. MSU has the best fan base in the country, and it's apparent the second you walk into The Dude.

3.We're pet friendly!!

I know that whenever I'm walking to class and I see a dog on the Drill Field, it makes my day. Not only are there dogs, but there's also campus cats that roam around freely.

4. The Bakery

State Fountain Bakery is home to some of the best dog bone sugar cookies. The bakery has been around for decades, so some people have grown up eating treats from here.

5. The Chapel

This is definitely one of my favorites. The Chapel of Memories is located right in the center of campus. It was built from bricks of the Old Main dormitory which burned to the ground in 1959. There's also gorgeous stained glass and a statue of an angel out front. It makes for beautiful pictures and apparently really great naps.

6.The Food

There so many food options on campus. From Chick Fil A, to Panda Express, to Oliio, there's something for everybody. Fried chicken Wednesdays and fried catfish Fridays at the Perry are everyone's favorite.

7. Football games

If you've ever been to a game at Davis Wade, you've probably participated in a few MSU traditions. Singing "Don't Stop Believing" and the fight song with 61,000 of your closest friends always makes for the best time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
