How To Tell If People Are On A Tinder Date

You meet someone at a bar or in class. You two spark interest in each other and things just start flowin'. Everything is natural and seems pretty ordinary in the grand scheme of the dating world. However, sometimes this whole social plan gets old and you need something to jog your emotional or dating itch. Thus, you turn to new and highly glorified app that brings you total solace for your adventurous ways. Why hello, Tinder!

Just like any normal first date, it is pretty awkward and there really is no way to get around it. You just have to let it happen. But, ever since you went on your very first "first date," which was probably back in middle school, you can easily recognize others on their own first date. And, it is pretty hilarious, to say the least.

But with Tinder, there is a whole new ball game. And, these Tinder first dates are even more humorous. So, next time you are out on the town, here are some obvious ways to tell if a couple is on a Tinder date (courtesy of The Daily Share).

1. The Arrival: A goofy grin as if to suggest "this is really happening," followed by the dates sizing each other up. Guys usually go for the hug, otherwise they stick with the handshake or a half shoulder hug (girls much rather prefer the handshake).

2. The Bathroom Escape: It's not uncommon for one of the two daters to ask the bartender or waiter for their opinion on how the date is going if the other person is in the bathroom. If the date is going down in flames, sometimes the person not in the bathroom will just bail right there and then. Awkward...

3. The Conversation: Has there ever been a non-awkward first date conversation? Or at least one that doesn't touch upon where each person is from, what each person does for work and how the weather is right now?

4. The Bad Date: When the date's going really badly (assuming that one person hasn't skipped out on the other), either one or both parties will pull out their phones. The particularly shameless ones will, in fact, pull out their phones to find OTHER TINDER DATES. Ballsy.

5. The Good Date: Take heart Tinderers; there is such a thing as good first Tinder dates. You know you're having one when there's lots of laughter, the rest of the bar is a blur and you feel each other drawing closer and closer to one another. You might even touch/graze hands. Good job, kids!

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
