Don't we all wish we could go back to a previous time and give ourselves advice? In my wishes of doing so, I hope this letter helps someone in the shoes I was in. Taylor Swift said it best, “People throw rocks at things that shine." So keep your head up, the hard times will be over shortly.

Although it is not easy for everyone in High School, some have had it worse than others and if I could go back I would tell myself that I wasn't as alone as I felt. It's freshman year and the long four years ahead seemed like an eternity, but following what everyone tries to tell you. It actually does get better.

You'll find your niche and although you thought it was with different people, by the end of those four years there's nothing else you'll be more thankful for than the fact that you didn't fit in with that other group of people.

You feel lost right now like the whole school is against you but brace yourself and put on a smile. I promise that is what they hate to see most, you smile.

Smile at those girls that started those rumors and the boys who laughed about it.

Eventually, if you keep smiling they'll have nothing to say about you.

Through the cruelty of some, reciprocate only nice remarks; people normally don't know how to handle this. What better way to show someone up than to throw sweet against sour.

It's easy to predict relationships with all of the social media around us, the good and bad, but create your own love story. You'll find that boy that makes everything feel okay, live those memories, have a blast and don't think about anything bad that can happen.

Just be young and live in the moment.

In saying this, the boy you have a crush on won't always sweep you off your feet, in fact, he might just knock you to the floor. Get back up and make that the last time you ever bless him with your attention, he has some growing up to do, leave him to that.

While you’re being nice to those who bring you down, also be nice to those who bring you up. Being nice to everyone around you will always pay off in the end

Lastly, It's not cool to act like a bad student, always try your absolute hardest and be that over-achiever. Applying to college comes quick, and the better your GPA/transcript is the better luck you'll have.

With these few tips, most importantly; remember to only live in the moment, High School will be some of the best years of your life so don't ever stop creating memories you'll be able to tell your college friends.

Although it may feel hard now, be the girl that neverlets anything break her. Don't show them your weaknesses and thrive in something you love. Be known as that girl who loves to skate, goes to the gym, sings, whatever it may be for you. These years may be times you'll never forget, but don't forget you also have so much time to make memories after high school.

There were times that I thought I would never fit in anywhere, take it from someone who lived it; it gets better!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
