Dear Boys,
I know you view all of us as either super girly or as a straight tom-boy. Well, I'm here to tell you that that is not the case in many situations, especially mine. Sure, I like to look nice, but if you tell me I have to wear pink, goodbye. BRB let me go gag a little because, no, I hate pink. Sure, I like to do some basic Instagram-ing and partake in the occasional gossip session, but I also enjoy watching sports games and talking trash about other teams.
Sure, we think some of the players are hot and that helps the game go by a little faster, but that doesn't mean we don't like them in other respects. Personally, I love sports more than anything. I'd rather watch Sunday Night Football, than 17 episodes of Gossip Girl in a row. If my team is playing, it's even more fun for me to watch. But, just because we like sports doesn't make us tom-boys.
Honestly, though, don't you think it's the least bit attractive when a girl can name all the teams from each city, and then actually not ask you any questions during a game? I don't know, but I think it's impressive. We don't need to ask you if the Bears just slam dunked the ball. We know when it's a first down, or when they need to decide to kick the field goal, or just go for a two point conversion. So, stop thinking we don't like sports.
Now get a kick out of this. NCAA Tournament Challenge app. I download that every single March because you better believe I make myself a bracket or two. Oh, and what's that? My bracket's actually good?! "Well, girls only pick the number one seeds." Well, DUH, shouldn't they win anyway? Oh, and what's that again? three of the four in the final four this year were number one seeds!
Now, I'm not gonna say I watched every game, but I watched a decent amount of them. I also did have all number one seeds in my final four, but hey, Villanova lost. The best part of it all is that I had Wisconsin winning the whole damn tournament. I had them beating the undefeated Kentucky. I go to Indiana, come on. We don't like them, sorry. I also have Duke and Wisconsin in my championship game, so don't tell me I don't understand sports. By the end of the Wisconsin-Kentucky game, my bracket was in the 99th percentile of all brackets submitted through ESPN. That means I'm in the top 1% of brackets. Sorry, boys.
So, just saying. Next time you think girls don't like sports and we "don't understand whats going on," think again.
