Run. The. Table. These are words that every Packers fan hope comes true. You see, despite the lack of success that the team has had this year, there is now a decent chance that we as Packers fans get to see our team make it to the playoffs against the odds. Let’s take a look at why if we managed to do that, it could make a huge difference for the team.

On one side of the argument are those who are looking far ahead for the draft. If we lose, we are out of playoff contention and are thus ahead two or three spots in the draft, the difference between getting a superstar, and an absolute bust. They make a good point, as cornerbacks and new pass rushers are necessary for a very injured team, but playing for the long haul, while wanting to lose games is hardly a viable strategy.

On the other hand, winning a Super Bowl, or at least getting a chance to is something that can not be passed up. If the team makes it to the playoffs, it would be on a six-game win streak, enough that there would be a huge bit of momentum to be riding on. And similar to the 2010 season where we won the Super Bowl, we would be in a position to win it all.

It may be time to do what the Packers have been ready to do all season. And if we can execute, and play well then we can do it. And that is simple. We are going to run the table.

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
