1. I have no shame.

No seriously, I have none. Being quirky and a klutz is who I am and no one will ever change that.

2. I love my cat.

He may be old and cranky, but I just want to squeeze him and hug him and kiss him and love him!

3. Some friends aren't forever.

I’ve found out I was only friends with some people because I saw them everyday. Sure, I thought these people would be in my life forever, but they weren’t actually my forever friends.

4. Anxiety is normal.

You know that feeling of an elephant sitting on your chest? Yeah, that’s anxiety and more normal than you’d think.

5. Dunkin is my life.

If I could have Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee running through my veins, I would.

6. Music can speak.

Certain songs strike a chord within me and ignite a feeling that can't be replicated anywhere else. Music speaks to me and says things no one else can.

7. My sister will always be my best friend.

No matter how vulgar, sappy, or ridiculous I am, she’s always there for me as my best friend.

8. Binging is a full time job.

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t finished an entire series on Netflix in just eight days; Parks & Rec you momentarily ruined my life for those eight days, but I have absolutely no regrets.

9. I have a voice.

If I talk loud enough, people will listen to me. I might just be one person, but I can make an impact.

10. Reading makes you cool.

Remember back in elementary and middle school when reading made you a nerd? That’s no longer a thing; when you tell someone you just finished a book, they’re impressed not repulsed.

11. I make my own adventures.

Adventure is out there but it’s up to me to find it.

12. Sh*t happens.

Everyone makes mistakes, and *gasp* the world doesn’t stop turning!

13. Stereotypes are whack.

Sororities are full of ditzy girls, yet here I am, a chemistry major, in a sorority, with girls who live at the library.

14. Sleep is not for the weak.

Sleep is important! Stop bragging about how little sleep you got and go take a fat nap.

15. Exercise is fun.

I always thought running was the only type of exercise out there. Plot twist: it’s not! Cardio is my nemesis, but I enjoy weight lifting. I just had to find what works for me.

16. Self-love takes time.

If you have always been completely confident and loved yourself, major props to you. I, on the other hand, had to learn to love myself over the years, but now that I’m there I’ll never go back.

17. Jeans suck.

Legging gang or die.

18. Popcorn is always the answer.

Want a snack at noon? Popcorn. 5 PM? Popcorn. 2 AM? Popcorn.

19. My parents are my heroes.

God bless these two for raising me into the person I am today. I don’t thank them enough, but they truly deserve the world.

20. My life, my choices.

No one can decide what I should do with my life except me. I get to create whatever life I want to live without the help of anyone else.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
