Fall isn't many's favorite season for no reason. It brings together great food, breathtaking views, and crisp, cool weather. A great opportunity to take advantage of all the cute photo ops, dust off the fireplace you haven't used for the past four months, and achieve that perfect body? Believe it or not, the fall season can be the best time of year to work towards your fitness goals. Fall is believed to be a "transitional" period between the relaxation of summer to the increased levels of stress that the later months of year tend to bring. Even though this time of year may seem a bit overwhelming, studies have shown that continued exercise throughout the fall and winter season has the ability to improve overall health, increase immunity, and lower stress levels. Follow these tips, and you're sure to have a happier and healthier end to your year:

1. Get Outside

The cool weather that fall brings is perfect for any type of outdoor activity, such as walking, taking a jog, or a hike. Even though it may seem easier to drive up to the health club for a quick workout, switching up your routine will keep things interesting. Soaking up the smell of leaves burning and the colorful trees is sure to motivate anyone to get outside and burn some calories. Taking a friend or pet with you to keep you company is a great way to keep you motivated as well.

2. Try a New Snack

Fall Farmer's Markets are an excellent way to stock up on your favorite seasonal fruits and veggies. Foods such as pumpkin provide potassium and vitamin A, while various types of apples are rich in fiber and antioxidants. Most fruits and veggies that are ripe in the fall season can also boost immunity and promote heart health. So why not try out a new post-workout snack?

3. Drink That Water!

It may come as a surprise to many, but drinking enough water is even more important in the fall months. It is an excellent way to regulate your body's temperature. Throughout the summer months, it is much easier to tell when you are becoming dehydrated. This is not the case during the fall season. Even though it's much more difficult to tell, your body dehydrates easier in the cooler months, especially after a hard workout. To prevent this, be sure to fill up your bottle a few extra times!

4. Use Social Media to Your Advantage

Ever suddenly get in the mood to work out as massive storm is happening outside? You may think of this as your cue to skip out for the day. Even though your plans of killing it on the exercise bike might be ruined for the day, there are still plenty of other options to burn off the calories from yesterday's burrito. Apps such as Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube are excellent sources to find quick, calorie-burning workouts that you can preform in the comfort of your own home. Some are even led by professionals and are specialized to tone certain areas of the body.

5. Hit the Trails

Unarguably, fall is the most beautiful time of year. The sights and smells of fall are enough to make anyone's heart happy. Trading out the gym for a day to take a jog through the woods is a perfect compromise. It can boost your mood and leave you feeling even more energized then before you started. Also, be sure to bring your camera to take the beauty home with you.

6. Switch it Up

Making a weekly or monthly workout plan can be a perfect way to vary your options and make sure you're working all muscles in your body. Certain muscles in your body are triggered by the cold weather, so switching things up can ensure you aren't missing any of them in your workouts. Trying out a new exercise or machine at the gym is also a great way to make sure you don't get bored, therefore unmotivated. Try taking a friend with you to test out some new moves!

Follow these tips and you'll be on your way to a happy and healthy fall season!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
