How To Enjoy Each Day
route66club.wordpress.com

Every day that we wake up is another blessing from God. Each day, we are given another opportunity to live life to its fullest, to worship our King, to love one another, to be yourself, to start fresh, to have freedom in Christ, and to enjoy the life God has given you. Every breath we take is a blessing. Every minute we get to spend on the Earth to enjoy God's creation is a blessing, and I am not going to let any moment slip away from me. We should enjoy our days. We should make the most of each second. We should be pursuing the amazing joy and love that only comes from the Lord. Here is how to enjoy your day, every day (the way I like to do it).

1. Wake up with a gracious heart.

Thank God the moment you wake up for blessing you with another day and an undeserving, fresh start. When you start by talking to God and being thankful, your whole day looks up.

2. Do a morning workout.

I have a hard time getting myself up for this, but when you get home from your long day of work, school, or just a busy day, the last thing you want to do is work out. Personally, I like to plop on the couch. When you exercise early in the day, you almost forget that you had to work those legs and sweat some buckets that morning. You don't have to worry about doing it later. Exercise is an awesome stress-reliever, and it helps you to be happier with yourself.

3. Eat or drink something that you love.

Hot tea is one of my favorite drinks ever, and when I have it, I get so excited. It is something exciting that I look forward to during the day. Whether it be fresh fruit, a Mt. Dew, coffee, or a donut, enjoy it.

4. Take a bath.

Bubble baths are so relaxing and so much fun. Even if it has to be short, do it! It is so worth it. Make sure you have a nice, fluffy towel ready to snuggle into when you are done. Even if you absolutely do not have time to wait for the bath to fill up with warm water, enjoy that warm shower.

5. As soon as you get home, put on your favorite comfy clothes.

Unless you're going out or just want to look especially nice for your spouse!

6. Show love to everyone you see.

Even if it is just a smile or holding the door for someone, every single thing you do makes a difference. Let God's love pour out of you into every person you meet.

7. Check off one item on your "To Do" list.

There is a feeling of satisfaction that comes with that one check off.

8. Take a daily vitamin.

I am not a good role model for taking vitamins every day, but I am working on it! It is so important for your health to take daily vitamins.

9. Smile often.

Smiling does a lot for myself. It also helps other people. I LOVE it when people smile at me.

10. Forgive easily.

God forgives us, no matter what. We need to forgive others too, not matter what.

11. Have faith that God is in control.

He has already been where you are, in your shoes. He knows exactly what is going to happen throughout your day. He has a plan for your life, and He is ALWAYS in control. Even in times of sorrow, He is right there waiting for you to grab on to His hand.

12. Spend some time in the Word.

13. Pray without ceasing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
