It’s about that time of year again, when we all decide to get back into shape after months of feasting (guiltily) on delectable food during the holidays months. With spring coming, temperatures will steadily begin to rise. Shortly after, flowers will begin to bloom, and before we know it, we’ll all be outside taking advantage of the warmer weather by getting exercise. And soon enough, summer vacation will once again have arrived. Of course, the weather doesn’t have to necessarily determine when the right time to get in shape is, but it's definitely a good motivator! And let’s be honest, it’s always a good time to get ahead of your fitness goals.

As we all know, sometimes it can be a little difficult to delve back into our fitness routine, or even discover strategies to get back into the mode of living a healthy lifestyle. But the recent rise of digital platforms has allowed us to become more accountable. With mediums such as Instagram, there has been a spark of fitness gurus demonstrating smart ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes more than just getting exercise at regular intervals. As they demonstrate, it also requires eating plenty of nutrients and drinking water, both of which will give you the necessary amount of energy to get back into the game.

1. Jessie Delgado (insta: @jessiebabyfit)

Whoever said you can’t have fun while working out? Definitely not this chicka right here! Her Instagram account is worth checking out because her workouts are not limited to the gym. She frequently changes up her routine by going to versatile places, such as the beach or a public park. By doing this, she is able to focus on core body parts.

2. Karena Thompson (insta: @teatannedandtoned)

An advocate for health, fitness, and the protection of animals and the earth, there is a certain mindfulness and awareness that she has to her posts.

3. Tanya Poppett (insta: @achieving_balance)

This fitness trainer, all the way from down under, periodically updates her account with clips showing exercises to try, photos of healthy food, and motivational quotes. She is a reminder that you don’t necessarily need a six-pack to be deemed healthy, although she does have one to boot!

4. Karina and Katrina (insta: @toneitup)

Friends, Karina and Katrina, began by posting fitness videos on YouTube, and in a matter of time, it has become a fitness community with a huge following. On their site, they post healthy recipes, fitness tips, nutrition plans and more!

5. Misty Copeland (insta: @mistyonpointe)

Copeland’s Instagram account name is a play on words, since she is a toned ballerina. It's also because she is basically flawless at anything she puts her mind to. Through her inspiring posts, she demonstrates that having a strong body should be something showcased proudly.

6. Kayla Itsines (insta: @Kayla_Itsines)

Kayla Itsines is the quintessential fitness guru of this generation. Founder of the Bikini Body Workout, she created an easy-to-follow plan full of workouts and recipes.

7. Manuella Rangel (insta: @manuellarangel)

As a personal trainer for Nike, she incorporates a healthy, yet fun approach to getting fit.

8. Doriel Rozanes (insta: @Doriel_Rozanes)

One major highlight of this account is that she's just like the rest of us! She goes all out on cheat days, and she also includes clips of herself letting loose and dancing. Don't forget, dancing is exercise too!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
