A lot of people say, "diamonds are a girl’s best friend," but it is my belief that a dog is a girl's best friend.
People who aren't dog lovers wouldn't understand. They characterize dogs as just animals and pets. In reality though, a dog is so much more than a pet. A dog is a friend, a companion, a shoulder to cry on. Growing up, I was raised with three dogs in my life.
Today, two of them have passed away. It wasn’t until they passed away that I realized how much of an impact a dog can have on someone’s life. That’s when I realized a dog is so much more than a pet. A dog is family. Whether a dog is begging you for your food, trying to convince you to walk them, or simply greeting you when you get home, dogs do all things that put smiles on faces around the world.
Many people don’t realize this, but a dog is just as much of a friend as a human is.
A dog can be there for us in ways humans can’t, whether for furry cuddles or to just listen, a dog will always have their owner's back. Dogs are the most loyal creatures in the world. We know it can be hard to find a human who is loyal, but with dogs? It’s easy.
Almost every dog is loyal and obedient to their owners. A dog is more than a dog. Only dog lovers will understand that dogs and humans have a bond that is unbreakable.
It is hard to find a person to trust, but a dog will always be on the side of their human. Trust isn’t even a worry with a dog because knowing you can trust them is practically guaranteed. People say, “a dog is a man’s best friend” (or anyone's best friend, really). But, a dog can be a woman’s best friend because that has been the case with my dogs and me.
Dogs come in all shapes, sizes and personalities, but no matter what, each dog is beautiful. From their big eyes, to their lovely faces, to their soft coats. Our furry friends can be 5 pounds or 300 pounds, either way each dog has the same agenda: to be there for their owner and make them happy.
It is essential for us to remember how important our dogs are to us and to always be grateful for them.
To them we are their entire world.
