If you have ever had the pleasure of owning a dog, this article is for you. Even if you have never had a dog but realize your love for them is everything, this article is for you as well. The special bond between a human and their pet is something that is indescribable. Whether they are small or big, older or a puppy, they truly become your best friend, your cuddle buddy, and your go to mood lifter. Dogs are truly the closest things to angels on this earth.

Although I am a huge animal lover and want to become a veterinarian in my future, I can't deny the fact I have a favoritism towards dogs. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life, but a relationship with a dog is another level from other animals in my opinion. They truly care about their owners and their loyalty is amazing. Besides being a house pet, it is such a beautiful thing that they are able to serve purposes in communites as well. I think it is such a great thing that some are able to do something as amazing as being police dogs and service dogs.

They are amazing companions and they truly are able to enhance ones life immensely. Losing a dog is one of the hardest things someone could face in life. My first special family dog was a bullmastiff named Sandy. My family adopted her when I was in kindergarten and she was truly the most special dog a little girl could have. She lasted with my family all the way until I was in 8th grade but she still had a very short-lived life. Putting her to sleep due to illness was a pain that I will never forget. When you have an animal that makes such an impact on your life, that impact will last on your heart forever even when they are no longer with you. There is no denying that they require a lot of work, time, and attention, but at the end of the day, they are so so so worth it. It is a great way to learn responsibility by looking after another living thing. Walking in your front door after a long day of work/school to see how happy they are to see you is something that makes you forget your troubles during the day and look forward to the night of cuddling with them.

It is often stated that dogs are better than people, and I don't think that there is a more accurate statement. (Funny, but accurate.) Mans best friend, womans best friend, they are everybodys best friend forever. Enjoy this picture of me with my Bullmastiff when I was in middle school. Love and miss you forever Sandy, RIP pretty girl.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
