"Aghh, really Lilly?" Eunha scrambled to grab her phone, but Lilly would never let it go.

"Wait wait!! Let's sit together and read it. I haven't opened it..... yet." Lilly threw her iconic sly smile and jumped on her bed, patting the area next to her for Eunha.

Lilly placed the precious object on the blankets and gave all command to Eunha. She opened her messages and saw a not-so-surprising 4 messages from an unknown number, whom she knew it was Eric.

Eric -- Hi Eunha, this is Eric

Eric -- From lit class

Eric -- meet up at my place tomorrow at around.....

Eric -- 11-ish?

Lilly and Eunha glanced at each other; one in complete shock, the other was squealing and jumping around like a proud best friend. Lilly was bouncing around her room like a maniac and Eunha was still digesting all that was happening. If she remembered correctly -- Nathan told her that he doesn't do the work -- no that wasn't it -- it was that he was a cold person. In all honesty, Nathan was right. He didn't care to put any emotion in his texts, it was straight and to the fact.

Abrupt seemed like the correct term to Eunha.

Lilly's mother, without a warning, barged into their room. "What the hell is happening here!? It sounded like you ladies were being kidnapped."

Lilly, who was rolling on the floor, scrambled to her feet and jumped around her mother. "Mom! A boy texted Eunha."

An expression of happiness and awe overtook Lilly's mother. For all of Eunha's life, she felt lonely, she had no one to talk to at home, and that overwhelmed her. The woman here in front of her was like her missing mother; someone who she could talk to, someone who would be her mother when she needed it the most.

"Ohh. Is that so?" Her eyes directed to Eunha to approve on the matter. "Well, if that is the case...congrats! But stay in your lane ladies, you're in your last year of high school. Don't screw it up." She gave the two a glaring nod, which the girls nodded simultaneously to show their understanding.

Eunha never blushed so hard in her life. Out of all the boys in her existence, why was it this handsome, dark haired, cold boy made her heart flutter every time she saw him?

Lilly was staring at Eunha, dumbfounded by her unforeseen tint of pink. She walked over to the timid girl and shook her out of her misery.

"Hey! What are you doing? Text him back, you've already read it. Don't leave him on 'read'. "

"Okay okay." Eunha took her phone and swiftly typed up short nice sentences.

--Hi Eric

--uhm...sure just send me your address

The one thing Eunha didn't understand was -- if he was such a tiresome person, why the heck is he texting back so fast?

Eric-- 090396 Silver Spoon Road

Eric-- ok bye

This left the two gaping at his address. He lived the next street down, almost as close to Eunhas' house. This was going to be one heck of year for her and she could see it.

Eunha flipped her phone over and shoved her face into the pillow and screamed as loud as she could. Her heart was palpitating faster and faster, she didn't know what to do. At any moment it could explode, and she was kinda expecting that. Her subconscious doesn't agree to go to a boys' house whom she didn't know all too well, but what can she do? To make things worse, it was the boy you could safely say she has a crush on.

Lilly took the phone and ran out the room to show her mom. If there was anything Eunha could hands down agree with, it was that Lilly and her mom were exactly the same.

It took a good half hour until her phone and Lilly entered, while carrying a bunch of snacks.

"Saturday is tomorrow! Can't wait, Wang puppy and I are-"

"Since when did you start calling Jackson, Wang puppy?" Eunha inquired. It's time for Lilly to explain.

"Heheee....uhm he said to call him that." Lilly explained, rubbing her neck in embarrassment. Eunha nudged her best friend's side and grinned like an idiot.

"He likes youuuuu!" Eunha got up and started dancing. This was perfect timing for her, the subject of her and Eric would be off the table for a while and she didn't mind that.

"HEY! Don't act like I forgot about you and your little crush!" Eunha stopped in her tracks, and her head hung low.

Damn it

Lilly giggled and patted the bed side again, pulling out the book she was to research with Jackson. Eunha did the same, plugged in her earbuds, and fell into romance oblivion.

******

"Psst...psst Eunha!"

Eunha woke with a jolt. "Whaa-what!? I wasn't sleeping! I'm sorry Ms. Kim, I won't do it a~"

"Eunha!" Lilly shook her best friend violently

"What!"

"You were sleeping silly. It's Saturday, come on get ready! It's 10:30am."

Saturday?

CRAP IT'S SATURDAY!

10:30am? FUDGE!

"OK, I'm on my way!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
