We've officially hit the third Monday of January and it is arguably one of the worst of the entire year. It's 2016 now even though every date you've written down still has a hint of a five at the end of it. You're sitting at work, still bloated from the extra holiday eating / drinking, it's freezing outside and you already forgot about your New Year's resolution. You had said that this year was going to be different and you had promised yourself it would be! But just as always, you're surfing Facebook instead of out fulfilling the promises you swore you would make happen this year.
Well I'm here to tell you, "Who cares?" So you forgot about your "new year, new me" attitude only a fraction of the way into the year. That doesn't mean you still can't change any aspect of your life that you may not be happy with. A new calendar year is not the only time a person can decide to better themselves. In fact, it might be one of the worst times to change your habits and get into your resolutions.
One of the most popular resolutions includes starting a diet and working out regularly. But you can ask any normal gym go-er and they'll say that the first week of January is the busiest week at the gym. So many people decide to take that first step of going, but then they never take the second step of returning. If you want to start getting fit and getting into a normal gym routine, then start a couple weeks after the new year, once the crowds have died down. It won't be as crowded and people who are more self conscious will feel less so due to the lack of hundreds of others around them.
If you did stick to your resolution, then great! But if you didn't, then don't worry about it. If you are serious about changing your life, then why not now, during the third week of 2016. Even if you don't even feel like it this week, next week or next month, you don't have to wait until 2017 to become a better you.
