Hey little one,

In just a few days recruitment will begin and you can say that I’m already so excited to meet you. You’ve chosen in the best sisterhood in the world and hopefully the best big too. I’m gonna try and be the best example for you. I may be wild but I am a kind soul, and each day I wonder who you are going to be, but no matter who you are, I know you’re perfect. I can’t wait to spoil you with so much more than you can imagine.

College is a rollercoaster, and along with all the ups, you might have many lows. But I promise for every down that you may face I will be there to push you back up. I’m sorry for my crazy, busy life but I promise no matter how busy I may be I will always drop anything for you. If you need a girls night in after a rough week we can order in Chinese and binge watch Netflix (P.S. you’ll probably gain your freshman 15 from being my little, but it’s fine). Always know that my closet is your closet; you will never run out of things to wear and I hope you are good with sharing too because now you’re stuck with me.

I promise to be there to wipe your tears and tell you that stupid boy doesn’t deserve someone like you. When you’re sick I’ll bring you hot tea and chicken soup. And even when it’s 2 a.m. and you need me to pick you up, I’ll be there, I might be grumpy, but I’ll always be there for you no matter what. I will always be there to do your eyeliner for every Thursday night and curl your hair for every formal. I’ll push you to do your best in everything. I will stay up all night with you from studying with you to help ace that Calculus test to helping you write that English paper.

I can’t wait to take road trips with you from the beach to New Orleans and to possible crazy places far from here in the future. You’ll be shown off as the perfect little that you are because I know I’m going to be proud of you. I can’t wait to be by your side as we shape we each other as women. I can’t wait to gain a little, a best friend, but most importantly another sister.

I’ll love you unconditionally and show you the ropes of our sisterhood, and why I choose to share it with you and create new traditions. You can confide in me with anything and everything and I’ll guide you through freshman year hoping you don’t make the same mistakes I did. I just hope that through the craziness of your freshman year that you stay true to yourself and your values because we will love, and I already know that I do.

Love,

Your Future Big

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

StableDiffusion

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
