Friends Wiki

We've all seen how it goes in the movies: the best friend always wins the heart of the protagonist. It's what we all dream of: falling for someone who understands us on that level. We think it's played out and too good to be true. Ultimately, though, we all find that the person we fall in love with becomes our best friend in time. This is what you realize when you fall in love with your best friend.

1. There's a great flirt to roast ratio in your relationship.

Half of the things you say to each other are sarcastic and borderline savage. It's all out of love.

2. You aren't ever afraid to chow down in front of each other.

"Should I get fried mac and cheese or avocado eggrolls?"

"If you don't get both I'll be concerned."

3. When you're a wreck, they know just what to do.

Through the best times and worst, you've got your best friend there to support you. They know exactly how to cheer you up and would go to the ends of the earth to do so.

4. They love all sides of you, even the really weird sides.

They're as strange as you are, and that's what makes the relationship work.

5. You're not afraid to embarrass yourself.

You've been doing it around them for so long, the fact that you're dating doesn't change that.

6. First date jitters were never a thing.

It's like starting to date half way through your relationship, your first date is actually like your twentieth.

7. You hate all the same people.

What's theirs is yours, including enemies. You're always on the same team.

8. You gossip like two 70 year old women.

They have the best gossip, and you look forward to your weekly wrap sessions constantly.

9. High-fives are just as good as kisses.

They give you props where props are due. You're basically dating your personal cheerleader.

10. The hardest part is fighting with them, but it never lasts long.

You have nobody else to talk to! They're everything to you, and you miss them.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
