"We're having a date party!": the five words every sorority girls either love or hate to hear. If you have a boyfriend, you already know you have a date. You walk out of chapter all excited, with all of these ideas of what you're going to wear and what he's going to wear swirling through your head. Then you call him telling him to not be busy the day of date party is because he now has plans. However, if you are not in a relationship, your mind starts going a million miles an hour. 

Immediately, you make a list of guys you could potentially ask. Once you have this list, you make another list of pros and cons for ever guy. "Ohh, I could ask him, wait no, he tried hitting on my the other night and my best friend likes him... that's not going to work." You continue doing the same thing until you eventually wind up at the guy that you consider perfect for the night. 

Now that you have the guy you're going to ask, you have to think of a way to ask him. Do you casually ask what they're doing that day? Do you be upfront and just say, "Hey, be my date?" What if another girl already asked him? There are so many questions, you just consider going with a group of friends or going by yourself. However, going with a date would be a lot of fun so you just go ahead and ask. 

Asking a guy to date party is like sending a risky text, especially when you ask them over text. Those long awaited minutes of not seeing their name pop on your phone makes you doubt asking them. Every time your phone goes off, your heart jumps a little but then you see it's your best friend asking if you want to get food. Finally, after anticipation, he says yes, he would love to! At this point, you consider yourself silly for even thinking he would say no. All worries are now gone because you have a date. 

With a good date and a good group of friends, date parties could be some of the best times you've had. Hopefully, you're on good standing so you can attend this. If you are, go to your date party. You'll regret not going after you hear how much fun your sisters had while you were slumped on your couch,alone, channel surfing because all of your friends were busy that night.
