Like thousands all across the country, I am going into my senior year of college this upcoming school year, and I know I speak for many when I say I am feeling a large mix of emotions. Entering the adult world in less than a year seems like an exhilarating yet frightening concept, and we're not all that sure we're ready yet. Here's how we feel about going into our final year of schooling:

1. We feel nostalgic.

Giphy

The past few years have been a whirlwind of exams, bars, and countless new experiences. It's all coming to an end; let's make the most of it.

2. We feel nervous.

Giphy

The future is coming up entirely too quick. There's much to be nervous about, but there's also tons to be excited about!

3. We feel excited.

Giphy

...and we should! This is guaranteed to be a killer year. We're kings of the campus, aren't we?

4. We feel relieved.

Giphy

The school stress that has at times suffocated you in the past few years is soon coming to an end. You just gotta endure it for a little while longer!

5. We feel shocked.

Giphy

As I ask myself time and time again, "Where does the time go?" How are we already to this milestone in our young lives? Don't blink.

6. We feel senioritis.

Giphy

Trust me, it is as real a thing in college as it was in high school. Enough said.

7. We feel prepared.

Giphy

All the hard work and time and effort we have put in the last few years is finally about to pay off. Give yourself a pat on the back, but then get ready to shift back into full gear.

8. We feel proud.

Giphy

We totally did it! We're almost there! We got this. Be so, so proud of yourself.

9. We feel determined.

Giphy

Determined to finish college strong and graduate with that great GPA, determined to find a job right after graduation, determined to begin the rest of our lives on a positive note.

ConGRADulations, soon-to-be graduates! Take it all in this year, and be excited for your next chapter.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
