The Southeastern Conference is the powerhouse of college football having fans from all over the United States show their support. Many celebrities were born and raised in the South, and thanks to their southern mamas they won’t forget their roots. Here are some celebrities that even though they have earned their spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, they still show support for their favorite SEC team.
Katy Perry: Ole Miss
This past fall Katy Perry made her way down to Mississippi, The University of Mississippi, that is, and made one of the local bars reach legendary status. She jumped onto the bar and began to crowd surf. Needless to say that the the saying is still true,”The biggest fans of SEC are those who did not actually attend the SEC."
Leonardo DiCaprio: Auburn
* Heart eye emoji* Not only is Leo an SEC supporter, but he is an Auburn man (praise Jesus). A photo made headlines last year of Leo sporting a fancy new Auburn cap on Rodeo Drive and let's just say it did not go unnoticed by the Auburn female student population.
Channing Tatum: Alabama
Not only is Channing a Cullman, AL native, but his grandma still lives in Alabama. Rumor has it that whenever he comes to visit, she puts him to work and makes him mow her grass.
Ashley Judd: Kentucky
Ashley Judd has made a name for herself as an avid Wildcat lover. She is such a supporter that she travels to away games, and she never misses a game.
Zac Efron: Auburn
Can I get a War Eagle? This hunk was spotted sporting some fan gear for the Auburn Tigers recently, and can I just say that Orange and Navy never looked SO good.
Melissa Joan Hart: Alabama
There are some celebrities fans and then there is Melissa Joan Hart. Not only is she a die hard Saban lover, but in 2014 after the win over Texas A&M, Hart tweeted the truth about how The Tide brought home the win.
Tim McGraw: LSU Tigers
Although this Country Music Legend is not an LSU alumni, they will always be near and dear to his heart. I mean if any one can pull of purple and gold, it would be him.
Bill Clinton: Arkansas Razorbacks
Long before Hillary decided to run for The White House, and long before Monica Lewinsky, the Clintons were a normal family who got lucky and set up shop in the Oval Office, doing normal things like going to basketball games to support the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The Backstreet Boys: Kentucky Wildcats
“Backstreet's back, alright!” This famous boy band loves them some football and are avid Wildcat supporters.
Samuel L. Jackson: Georgia Bulldogs
From his passionate tweets to his inspirational pep talks to the team, this famous movie star has made it known that the only dogs he likes are Bulldawgs.
