Waking up is the most dreaded part of the day, but if you have an incredible brunch to look forward to it can be exactly the opposite. So sleep in on your day off, and start your day with a delicious plate that will be sure to make even a night owl smile. These six brunch spots will have you springing out of bed, even on a Saturday.

1. The Bada Bean

If you're looking for a traditional breakfast, stop by The Bada Bean. They have a wide range of choices on the menu including egg skillets, omelets, breakfast wraps, and cinnamon rolls just to name a few. As if this wasn't enough, they also serve gourmet beverages such as hot tea, lattes, smoothies and much more. The Bada Bean is my favorite low-key spot when I'm craving a five-star breakfast, fast!

2. The Egg Eatery and Cafe

There's so much to love about The Egg- the great atmosphere, friendly staff, a wide range of seating, and especially the food! The Egg is a clean, family friendly restaurant that is worth the drive. They offer various choices on the menu, ranging from traditional options to your favorite southern dishes like shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and many more. The Egg never fails to leave me feeling stuffed and satisfied.

3. Maple Street Biscuit Company

If you couldn't tell by the name, Maple Street is known for its fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth biscuits. Thankfully, almost everything on the menu is served on their famous homemade biscuits. The southern brunch restaurant also serves delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice and hot coffee blends. If you're a biscuit-lover looking for a casual place to enjoy a warm, gourmet breakfast, be sure to try Maple Street Biscuit Company.

4. Canopy Road Cafe

Canopy Road is well known among anyone in the Tallahassee area, and for a good reason. Their signature pancakes including Birthday Cake, Reese's and Sweet potato will melt in your mouth and beyond satisfy your sweet tooth. If you're not a big pancake person, they offer extensive options on the menu including building your own omelets and skillets, french toast, etc. Not to mention, the Lucky Goat Coffee they serve is to die for. There's usually a wait on the weekends, so I recommend coming in early so you won't have to miss out on an incredible brunch experience.

5. Table 23

Table 23 is my favorite high-end brunch restaurant which serves classic southern meals. The menu offers a range of mouth-watering southern specialty breakfast options. Even the side dishes on the menu are absolutely incredible, including their smoked gouda cheese grits, the fruit parfait, and the thick cut peppered bacon. The best part though is Table 23's flavored bottomless mimosas which taste so good that you may not notice you've had one too many. Table 23 offers a clean environment and a friendly atmosphere- the perfect setting for your high-end brunch experience.

Brunch is the most important part of every weekend, so don't cheat yourself with bland oatmeal again. Be sure to enjoy your morning at one of these five unbelievable brunch restaurants- and bring your friends, they won't want to miss this!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
