It’s that time of year again…

The most wonderful time of the year? Christmas time? Think again… FINAL EXAMS!

The Bible’s got ya covered to get you through your finals.

When you feel you need strength:

“I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

When you’re feeling tired and like you just want to give up:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29

When you’re feeling anxious:

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.” Proverbs 3:6-7

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Final exams are not the end of the world. They are not the be all and end all. Things that seem like a big deal in the short term are not that big of a deal in the long term. Exams are just exams. Life is too short.

Pace yourself.

Get enough sleep.

Take time for yourself and for God every day. Don’t forget to do the things you love and the things that make you happy because if your mental health isn’t there, nothing else will be.

Treat yourself.

Ask yourself where you saw God today. Be the face of God for someone else. Make someone else’s day. Be positive and push through because Christmas break is right around the corner.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
