Dear Mom and Dad,
Thank you so much for the most amazing gift I have ever received. I know that, throughout my entire life, nothing will ever compare. Thank you for giving me my brother(s).
Growing up alongside my brothers has meant the world to me. I know I would be nowhere near the person I am today without them. They have taught me more than they probably even realize.
I grew up in sports uniforms and muddy cleats. I wanted to do everything my brothers did. If it weren't for your blessing me with this gift, I probably would never have the passion for sports I do. Having brothers has taught me to have a passion and love for the game, to practice, to never give up, even when life throws you an unexpected turn.
I'm sure you always worried about the boys being too rough with me when I was little, being a girl and always wanting to be in the action. They never treated me any differently, they never let me win easily. They always made me work for everything they worked for. This is a life lesson I will take with me for the rest of my life.
Did you know that my brothers would be my biggest role models? After you two, of course. Having two big brothers to look up to while I was growing up always made me stay on my toes. I wanted to be just as good as they were, even though that seemed like a hard task. I will always and always have tried my best to be as amazing as they are. It was always my goal to be able to achieve the great things they did in life, and I will continue to strive to be like them for the rest of my life.
Watching each of them grow up, they were so cool to me! No one else in the world had the amazing brothers that I did! Obviously! I may have complained about being dragged around to all their stuff but seeing them win a big game or come in first in a race, was well worth it, so thanks for making me go. But once I was old enough to understand what they meant to me, going to their games, races, graduations, was what I wanted to do. I didn't want to miss anything that was important to them, no matter how small. You guys taught me that being there for your family is the most important thing in life. I loved watching them grow up. It made me more excited to do everything they got to do. I knew my time would come, I just had to be patient.
They have guided me to the right path. Now that we're all older, family is everything to me. I can't imagine living far away from my brothers forever. You have given us all the gift of what a family really is, and I know none of us could thank you more for it. If I didn't have my brothers I'm not sure who I would be, because most of the person I am is them, and, with that being said, I couldn't be prouder. I am proud to say I understand sports, understand how important school work is and that being the best you can is so very important. You always told me this, but watching my brothers achieve this in front of my eyes, really made it clear.
Thank you for blessing me with the most amazing brothers in the entire world. I'm not sure I could never repay you, but I promise to love them and be their for them for the rest of my days.
Love, your daughter with brother(s)
